Our family loves Raffi, and we want to share him with you. His songs are really silly, great to sing along with, and never seem to get old - even for us adults. We have all his tapes in our car, and the children ask for him every time we are out. His songs are just right for little people; nothing else can compare. Our kids love his music so much! I am so grateful we discovered his music.

This CD is not one my ultimate Raffi favorites. That distinction would go to Singable Songs for the Very Young (with a Peanut Butter Sandwich), Raffi in Concert with the Rise and Shine Band (CD), and Raffi in Concert (a must-have video). But this CD is definitely worth owning. There are a dozen gems from Raffi, and any of them will do nicely with a peanut butter sandwich.

This music is so silly, gentle and fun for children. Our CD case is worn out from so much use. The songs and the variety are just great, which partially explains why this CD has sold hundreds of thousands of copies. Then there's the Raffi touch that makes this music so special for children, especially those under the age of five. This is very special music, and Raffi really understands very young children, what they like, and what they need.

The disc starts with "Six Little Ducks, a singable classic that children love. Then it leads into several outstanding Raffi-written songs. There's a good variety of outstanding songs, with the general theme being folksiness and silliness. And there are a couple very gentle songs, too.

"Shake My Sillies Out" and "Oh Me Oh My" are hilarious. Some songs are great to dance to, like "New River Train" and "Junior Ragtime." Some are gentle for snuggling, like "Douglas Mountain" and "Listen To The Horses." "Skin and Bones" is just a little scary in a silly way: Boo!

This is really special music for very young children. Be a choosy parent and choose quality music for your child, like "More Singable Songs." I recommend this early in life. You will get years of use as Raffi's music never gets old played over and over, even for adults.

I have this CD and I like the songs on it especially "Listen To The Horses" because the clip clopping sounds like a human heartbeat which helps keep me calm and stops my baby friend from crying. When I am grown up and I have a baby I will let him listen to this album every day if he ever gets fussy. Raffi is a renowned infant whisperer and I reccomend him to any mom-to-be.
