As English not my mother tongue, I learned English from textbooks since middle school years. Though having English conversation courses, the idioms and slangs were not covered in the formal sponken English lessons, despite we studied hundreds of English phrases.

Now I finally understand what they meant. This book is very helpful. The lessons were arranged consistently in real life scenes, very vivid, cordial and interesting. Combining with the CD for practice, I pick up the sentences instantly without sparing any effort to learn by heard.

I highly recommend this book for anyone whose native language is not English.
