Ya'll are crazy FAB is all hip hop. Just because an artist goes mainstream on one album to get a fanbase dosen't mean they've gone soft. Street Dreams was a great album. It had something for everybody. In SD prt 2 he steps his lyrics up another notch. Every album gets better in some way whether lyrically or production wise. 3.0 out of 5 stars Mixtape or no mixtape...same old fab
Fabolous has a very nice flow and perfect rhymeschemes that led many including me to think he would be up there in ranking. But from his first album to this one...fabolous' subjects touch on nothing but his throwbacks, his money, his cars, and the girls that he gets with. I don't like classifying rappers into categories but this is a prime example of what somebody who is...

It had something for everybody. In SD prt 2 he steps his lyrics up another notch. Every album gets better in some way whether lyrically or production wise. But lets face it, with Jay-z out the game we are gonna need some kids to step up and some new talent to bust through. Fabolous is a front runner for the future. This album explains that. Another 14 cuts that keep you waiting to see who's gonna steal hip hop's lime light

Fabolous has a very nice flow and perfect rhymeschemes that led many including me to think he would be up there in ranking. But from his first album to this one...fabolous' subjects touch on nothing but his throwbacks, his money, his cars, and the girls that he gets with. I don't like classifying rappers into categories but this is a prime example of what somebody who is trying to sound like they've known hiphop forever would call "too commercial"
So-so production makes this one very less appealing as it could have been. THere is a beat on here that sounds like Kelis' milkshake song on crack.
At times fab shows flashes of brilliance and joe budden far outshines him on his own mixtape. Paul Cain has a fabolous type flow with more street influence which sometimes outshined fab also.
Fab needs to work on his subject matter and then all will be well..nuthin wrong wit a lil flossin but he somewhat overdoes it
MIKE SHOREY IS THE BRIGHT SPOT OF THIS ALBUM...his RAPPING FORM OF SINGING WILL MAKE HIM VERY SUCCESFUL
Favorite Tracks...
Make U Mine...Niggaz...and Fire remix (best song on CD)

Peace Out EAST OAKLAND

This review is from: More Street Dreams 2: The Mixtape (Mcup) (Audio CD)
Fabolous has a great album here. This has a special thing on it, that makes it enhanced is, you can make your own remix of one of the tracks. Fabolous will always have more, more, and more Street Dreams for everyone. This album features the Fire Remix, with Joe Budden. Fire was originally a Busta Rhymes track, then it was a Joe Budden track, now Joe Budden features Fabolous on the Fire Remix. Another track is Think Y'all Know, the track after; Make U Mine video. This, I believe is the best track on the album. Make U Mine, the latest collaboration with Mike Shorey, Make U Mine. Make U Mine is a great video and track. It is a great album. As I said earlier, Fabolous will keep coming out with more, more, more, and more Street Dreams.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dope, but "Street Dreams" is much better, September 1, 2005

Another dope album by Fab, but it's not better than "Street Dreams".

Song Ratings (out of 5):

1. N***az - 3/5 - Not one of my favorite songs on the album. Don't like the instrumental too much.
2. Now What - 4.5/5 - Dope punchlines and the instrumental is good too.
3. Rims [Skit] - N/A
4. Now Ride - 2.5/5 - I don't like this song too much.
5. Think Y'All Know - 5/5 - This is one of my favs. on this album. I think this was also a single, or a split video, can't remember.
6. Chicks [Skit]- N/A
7. Make U Mine - 5/5 - Love this song, but not what it's about. Dope instrumental, Fab lays down some good lyrics and it also features Mike Shorey.
8. Faboloso - 3/5 - Sampled instrumental, the original is "Who's That" by R. Kelly. It's only about a minute long, that's why I gave it a 3.
9. Fire [Remix] - 4/5 - Dope song. Features Joe Budden and Paul Cain. It's a remix to the original "Fire" by Joe Budden. Love the chorus.
10. I Usually Don't - 3.5/5 - Another song I don't like too much.
11. Renegade - Another sampled instrumental, the original by Jay- Z (same exact song name) featuring Eminem. This song, I think it features Paul Cain and Joe Budden. Anyways, it's a dope song. If you like this one, check out the original version.
12. F You Too - 2/5 - Another song I don't like too much.
13. B.K. Style - 5/5 - Samples Lil' Kim's "This Is Who I Am", B.K. Style is one of the best songs on this album. Fabolous spits crazy punchlines like "The way I pass the rock can make Jason Kidd a fan of me".
14. Can't Let You Go [Remix] - 4/5 - Produced by Just Blaze, this song is supposed to be a club banger. First time I purchased this album, I thought that the remix of "Can't Let You Go" was going to be another love-like song about cheating. I don't like the idea that Just Blaze made this more of a club banger than it is a cheating song, but it's still a pretty ill song.

I really don't like "More Street Dreams, Pt. 2: The Mixtape". I think that "Street Dreams" is a way better album. Better songs, better lyrics, better collaborations and better instrumentals. Anyways, this is still a pretty good album, but I think that Fab could have done a better job.

Peace.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Living the Street Dream...., November 10, 2003
By
AC (Raleigh, NC USA) - See all my reviews
Man this guy has really showcased his talent, not only with the amazing beats he chooses, but his sickening flow the amazing metaphors and analogies. Where does this get it all?!? From his underground days with unlimited freestyles and remixes, to "Ghetto Fabolous", to "Street Dreams Pt.1" this guy has always packed unbelievable lyrical content with his verses which will leave you mind-boggled and stunned and have you pressing the rewind button on your cd player just to process what he says! Its that serious! This kid is serious when it comes to living the Street Dream and has no problem telling us about it! If you arent already backing Desert Storm & The Street Family you should do so and pick this up as soon as you can. Trust, its worth it. It has more of a gangsta ring than a commercial bee-bop jingle, enough to make the softest cat bob his head! Just listen to the cuts "I Usually Dont" & "Faboloso". They may not be full length songs, but they have a more catchy tune proving to be something to ride down the street to, and if you are feeling like something a little harder, listen to "Renegade", "Think Ya'll Know", and/or "Now Ride". Basically either way you look at it, you'll be spelling alongside Fab saying "F-A-B-O-L-O-U-S" after you purchase Street Dreams Pt. II: The Mixtape. Do the Damn Thing Fab.

2.0 out of 5 stars Its aiight but not gangsta, December 6, 2003
By
This review is from: More Street Dreams 2: The Mixtape (Mcup) (Audio CD)
this cd stepped up from street dreams volume 1. The similies and punchlines are hotter, but on some real stuff this cd is only half more gangsta than the other one. Fabolous turned sweet all of a sudden, he's more into singin slow remakes of old r&b songs about girls all the time then what he use to freestyle and rap about like "keepin it gangsta" or "I can't deny it", the most he'd say about girls was funny sex punchlines like "she wants me to bust in her eye so she can watch my kids" or "I wonder if shorty freind can rap so she can spit on my mic", he just went passionate on rap. His second cd "Street Dreams" should be called "Sweet dreams" and this one should be called More Sweet Dreams Volume 2(songs to cuddle too)". i'd give it 2 stars.

F-A-B-O-L-O-U-S is so sick with da flow!!! Go & cop this CD. It's da lyrical fire we needed to close out this diappointing year. Although Jay-z last album iz soon 2 drop...Man I never boast [.......] rhymes, but the bars and metaphors on this album is sick!! This part 2 mixtapes iz for da streets!! Nothing really commercial or "girly" on this one!!! I'm from da westcoast & my opinions and recommendations are very respected. I buy all styles and reigons of rap...This kid can flow I guarantee you won't be trading this one back for store credit anytime soon!! HA, HA, HA

This is a "retailed" mixtape, but I would be surprised if this didn't reach "Gold" status!!! Hey now, his little bro Paul Cain and even "Regular" Joe Budden rips tha tracks with they flows too!!! Be sure to read all my reviews y'all. I never steer listeners wrong
Young $Coppo$ and I'm out!!!
