Real enjoyable box set to have, June 18, 2000

Claude King is one of my favourite country singers. He sang his songs with strength and full of emotions. This set contains practically all the recordings Claude King has ever done. His version of "Laura" is the best I have ever heard. If you like singers who sing with emotion such as Bobby Bare, you will be sure to like this set which is full of treasure. You can even hear an alternate version to his hit "Comanceros". Some of very nice sentimental numbers which he sang really well are: "Little Bitty Heart", "Tell me darling would you care","Give me your love and I'll give you mine", "Don't theat moon look lonesome" and "It's good to have my baby back again". Other songs which are exceptionally good are: "Little Buddy", "Laura", "Almost Persuaded","Sweet Loving", "Big River","You're breaking my heart", "Burning of Atlanta", "When you're 21" and "Mary's vineyard" just to name a few. Being a good friend of the late Johnny Horton, he also covered most of Johnny's hits in this collection and don't forget his big hits "Woverton Mountains" and "Commancheros". A real good buy I can assure you!
