The flow of the story was smooth all the way through to the end - which was very satisfactory.

What a delightful little book. The writing flows along slowly but smoothly, almost as if Walt himself were narrating the tale. Walt is searching for his son, with whom he lost contact many years ago. He is ill and wishes to mend bridges. During the journey to find his son he finds a new family. That might sound simplistic in essence, but the story is about how one person can make a difference, sometimes that small act of thoughtfulness will change a persons life. I loved the way Walt has a chance to make up for his lack of parenting by leading and reaching out to a young boy, who has lost his father. It is almost a parallel substitution of relationships, during which both grow and learn from one another. This isn't an action packed adventure, but it is a heart warming story that will bring a smile to your face and possibly a tiny tear to your eye. I received a free copy of this book for my review.

This was a sweet story about relationships. No high action or drama, just a nice satisfying read with the right ending. I recommend it. I received a complimentary copy of this book to review.

I felt this book was a good read. It took a few chapters for me to get into the book and all of the characters. Once I got a grasp on all of the characters I felt a connection to them and I wanted to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. Even though there are elements of the story that are sad I felt the book was a heart-felt book. It's nice to see a character, Walt, with such kindness and love for others.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for a review.

I forgot the premise of this book by the time I got around to reading it on my Kindle. It is a well written story. Not a page turner that kept me up all night, but one which I breezed through in a couple evenings.

Good stuff. Could have been a few pages longer to fill in the unanswered questions about a couple of the characters.

I really enjoyed this book! It was just a good old heartwarming tale about a drifter, looking for his son. Well written(except for some spelling errors and such)Good development of characters. I want to know these people. I want to sit down and have coffee with them. I was sad to see it end. I highly recommend this book! I received a complimentary copy of this book in order to review it.

I really liked this story. From the beginning, I was pulling for Walt and Danny to form a bond when it was obvious they needed each other badly. The characters were likeable and so well developed, I swear I knew most of them from my hometown. The flow of the story was smooth all the way through to the end - which was very satisfactory. I would most definitely read the author's next book.
