A reading experience you won't forget,

"I try to be a Maggie whenever I can." This is one of the sentences in this glorious collection of personal essays which will stay with the reader forever. To find out what it means to be a Maggie, sit down, pour yourself a cup of tea, and prepare to imbibe this wonderful collection of sometimes hilarious, sometimes sad, and always evocative stories culled from the event-filled life of the marvelously eccentric Lynn Ruth Miller. Each story is headed by, or ends with a quote. My favorite is from Eric Hoffer: "We're made kind by being kind." The reader senses that this is Lynn Ruth Miller's driving philosophy of life and certainly the author's humanity is evident in each of the quirky tales in "More Thoughts While Walking the Dog." Buy this book as a gift for friends--it's a reading experience they'll treasure.
