In More More Time, David Seaburn’s captivating characters are a welcomed reminder of the precious gift of time. Seaburn developed characters whose lives are defined by intriguing, sometimes tragic, random experiences. The writer’s steady unfold of the story, gradual disclosure of the personalities, and subtle exertion of humor made this a mesmerizing read. When finished, I closed my book with a renewed determination to be more intentional about my own use of time.

More More Time is a book where hardly anything happens. It's focused on ordinary people's lives, their past struggles, regrets, but essentially on their internal growth. More More Time follows six people. They try to figure out how they got to the point they are currently in. They have lived a lukewarm life, and it seems now when they've gotten older, they are disappointed at themselves having wasted their lives in the past. Their stories entwine, they are connected with each other.

In the beginning, I found it difficult to like the characters but as the story went on I grew to love each of them despite their flaws, as they were getting stronger. It clearly shows that everybody hurts though it's not always obvious.

More More Time is told by six different perspectives, we can witness often contrasting point of views. The atmosphere is somewhat morbid until the 3/4 of the book, but then it gets lighter and hopeful. Book is packed with engaging dialogues, and with lots of beautiful quotes. The story was reasonably paced, although I felt the end come quite suddenly.

I cried. I cried because the book ended too soon, I would have wanted more of it. I also cried tears of relief. More More Time put things into a perspective for me again. The only moment that counts is now and I want to make most of it. It told me that my time is limited and nothing is more important than being a kind person, friend, and living in a moment pursuing my dreams. Death is something that makes people afraid, but I see death as a motivation to be a better version of myself and this book gave me hope and a fresh outlook.

Note that I received a digital review copy of this book in an exchange for an honest review.

More More Time by David B. Seaburn was such an interesting book. There were times during the first few chapters that I got confused but once you have met all the characters it is easy to follow along and you are able to understand it all. I loved learning how all the characters were connected and see how they all interacted with each other. I really like Max and I found myself feeling bad for him because I can’t even imagine how it would be to hear voices all the time and to feel like you are going crazy. If you love general fiction than you should check this one out. If you have read it what did you think of it?

I began this book not knowing much about it other than the blurb, and I hadn't read anything else from the author. This was one of those books that really pulled me to it when I wasn't reading it. Through the intertwining lives of the characters, we learn about how they deal with issues in their lives that we all have to face. Age, love, marital discord, trauma recovery, self-discovery, just to name a few. I became emotionally engaged with these flawed, but all-too-human characters. Highly recommended for book club/reading group/family discussion as there is plenty to talk about.
