I just picked up my copy of MVP and am so impressed with all of the helpful information and the wide variety of easy and nutritious recipes. I'm going to incorporate at least one entree recipe a week into my weekly menu planning. I love how Patty includes seasonal variations so you can eat seasonally. Unlike most cookbooks, Patty provides lots of suggestions on how to vary many of the recipes based on the ingredients you have on hand and encourages you to be bold and experiment!

This cookbook is exactly what it says, "easy & delicious." The recipes call for ingredients that you normally stock in your kitchen so it's a great go to cookbook if you don't want to run to the grocery store. The dishes are healthy but full of flavor and you always know what benefits you are getting from the side notes!

This book is perfect! It has a ton of recipes that are quick, easy and delicious- plus they give you the nutritional info right next to the recipe! I watch what I eat (especially with some baby weight still to lose) and I am super busy so this is a life saver for me. The first recipe I made was chicken with artichoke pesto- YUMMM!!! So scrumptious and only took 10 minutes to throw it all together to cook. I am impressed and would recommend this book to anyone- not just moms... Love it.

We all know that mothers and doctors advocate that their families and patients eat more fruits and veggies, and fewer sweets and fats in their diets. With respect to increasing the consumption of vegetables at meal time, Elson M. Haas and Patty James have effectively collaborated to produce a 227-page compendium of tips and techniques showcasing more than one hundred recipes that will please the palate and satisfy the appetite of even the most veggie-reluctant child or adult at the table. Of special note is the inclusion of a great deal of basic information on and about the vegetables involved in these thoroughly 'kitchen cook friendly' recipes which include seasonings, sauces, spreads, appetizers, dips, salads, dressings, soups, sandwiches, entrees, side dishes, and even desserts. From Chanterelle Crostini; Chinese Chicken Salad with Mandarin Dressing; Golden Tofu Cauliflower Soup; and Vegetarian Chili; to Asparagus Quiche; Broccoli with Lemon and Gomasio; Quinoa Pilaf with Fennel; and Zucchini Brownies, "More Vegetables, Please!" is an enthusiastically recommended addition to personal, family, and community library cookbook collections.

I am loving this book! The recipes all look delicious, and the book is packed with valuable information about health in general. It's well organized, with different ways to use the book according to your needs. Also, I'm enjoying learning about what's in season and how to prepare it. I have a very busy schedule, and sometimes don't have time to eat as many veggies as I'd like. This is about to change. I know how important vegetables are for good health, so I plan to use this book regularly!
