4.0 out of 5 stars My son loves this book, I like it
My son is a HUGE fan of No Jumping on the Bed, and we looked forward eagerly to this book arriving in the mail! My son loves it just as much, and it's on our frequent read list. I don't like it quite as well as "Jumping", mainly because it seems a little forced into the same format, and I am somewhat disturbed by the fire scene at the end, but I still just...

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Illustrations - OK story
I bought this one for the illustrations - and they are great. The story is ok, the concept is a good one. It just doesn't strike me or my kids as funny as it could be - at least not to us. I'd purchase it for fans of Tedd Arnold or for kids who love bathtime stories.... otherwise probably not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Children love this book!, June 15, 1998
By A Customer
This book about brothers William and Walter is a wild bathtub ride that will pique every child's imagination and tickle his or her funny bone. My children, ages 4 and 5, love the silly rhymes and chant them along with me while laughing uproariously. This is a great book for reading to an entire class because it is well written and has large and vivid illustrations. We have read this book many, many times and never tire of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars No More Water in the Tub, May 29, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: No More Water in the Tub! (Mass Market Paperback)
No More Water in the Tub is a bathtub story. William and Walter accidentally screwed the knob off their tub and the tub broke loose because there was too much water. They went through apartments. William put out a fire and got a medal. This book is good for all ages. It's a funny story with amazing illustrations. I would give it five stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the top 20 kids books, April 15, 2001
This review is from: No More Water in the Tub! (Mass Market Paperback)
My 4-1/2 year old daugher and I LOVE this book! After just the first reading, she started supplying the funny, repetitive endings and was quick to share her "ability to read" the book with her dad. I was so enthralled with this book and "No More Jumping on the Bed" that I came to the Amazon.com site to order the rest of the books by this great children's author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended, December 7, 2009
This review is from: No More Water in the Tub! (Mass Market Paperback)
My 4 year old and I LOVE this book! We've had it for two weeks and read it at least twice a day. The pictures are nice and it is well written. My son loves the rhyming and says the words with me as I read. This book never gets old and it's one I don't mind reading as many times as my son asks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun story, delightful illustrations!, November 30, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: No More Water in the Tub! (Mass Market Paperback)
My children (ages 6, 4, and 2 years) all eagerly listen to this story again and again. They like the fanciful tale of a boy floating through his apartment complex in his bathtub and sweeping his good-natured neighbors away with him. It is a pleasure to read aloud due to its rhythmic text and rhymes (my kids' favorite line "Uncle Nash sat in the Trash" makes them giggle every time). The illustrations have lots of humorous details...the kids like to point out things like the hamster floating on a puzzle. At the end of the book, it is revealed that this was just a story that Walter told to little brother William while he was taking a bath. But as Walter starts telling another story to William, Walter forgets to turn off the water and William's bathtub floats out the window and down the fire escape! This delightfully ambiguous ending always leaves my 6 and 4 year old excitedly debating about whether this second adventure supposedly really happened or was simply another story invented by the big brother. What a fun book!

3.0 out of 5 stars No More Water in the Tub, March 20, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: No More Water in the Tub! (Mass Market Paperback)
No More Water in the Tub is based on a story that occurs in a bathtub. First, Walter accidentally unscrewed the knob off the tub. Second, the tub broke loose and raced down the stairs of the apartment building. Finally,William's tub water put out a fire on the bottom floor. I felt surprised that the bathtub broke loose. I think my brothers and sister would like this story.
