More Wicked Words, April 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: More Wicked Words: An Erotic Short Story Collection (Mass Market Paperback)
Being a veteran reader of the Black Lace anthologies, I have to admit this one came as a surprise to me. The stories here are a more fun than usual, e.g., Bringing it Back (be careful what you lend, ladies ;+), and a bit less literary than usual. Some of them are a unbelieveable, even for fantasies, e.g., The Chef's Revenge, and not up to the usual BL standards, which have been fairly high in the past. There's a lot of "do me hard, big boy" and for those of you who really think some things just can't be big enough, have a look at Horseplay and Midsummer Madness. Several of the stories are simplistic, adolescent fantasies, with no pretenses to literary merit. However, Saskia Walker, a multi-published writer of really good erotic, has come through in her usual style with, Laying Down of Ones Cards, a quadrille for the fetish set. Give the book a look, it's a good cross-section of erotic fantasies, with some very entertaining stories.
