Product Description

Our More than a NUT MILK BAG is ideal for any number of straining or sprouting uses and recipes are included with each one. Each high-quality nylon 10 x 12 inch bag is quality tested before shipment. Wayan and her team in Bali, Indonesia, take great care sewing our bias-cut fine mesh nylon bags with serge-stitched seams to improve strength and flexibility. We are confident that our More than a NUT MILK BAGs are the finest available. Think of it as reusable cheesecloth without all the bother. After testing bags constructed with natural fibers, we found that nylon, over time, is the only satisfactory material. Nylon, being non-porous, makes our bags easy to clean after use, so the bags stay clean and remain strong and intact for many, many uses. We found that natural fiber bags stain quickly and tend to add smell and taste to their contents after only a few uses, but nylon remains neutral. A portion of our sales support Ibu Robin at the Bumi Sehat Birthing Center & Yayasan Widya Guna Orphanage in Bali.

I have been making almond milk for about 8 months after having to give up dairy. Before I tried this bag, I used a tea towel to strain my milk. The tea towel works great but can be a little troublesome to clean and it does take a bit of time and some elbow grease to squeeze all the milk out. So when I saw a few bloggers recommend a nut milk bag, I thought I would try it.

I have found that this bag leaves my milk pretty gritty - very unfortunate when using your milk in coffee. Also, I found that I actually get quite a bit less compared to using my tea towel. If you try to squeeze more through this nut milk bag, you end up getting even more pulp. Not cool. I would recommend buying a tea towel and using that to strain your milk - especially if you do a mixture of almonds and a softer nut like a cashew. I found that this nut milk bag does a particularly poor job at straining cashew milk.

I am LOVING my bags! I use them for all kinds of straining in the kitchen 'cause they are easy to use with the draw string top and washability! Others I've used have elastic at the top that frays and don't wash well. Plus I read on the label that some of the proceeds go to a birthing center in Bali. SO COOL! Yay! I get to help people too!

I recently made almond milk in my Vitamix ( before I got this bag) after a local store was out of both soy and almond milk due to an issue with their shipper. The almond milk came out great except when I strained and strained and strained it still had this grainy feel that was not pleasant so I ordered this bag, This bag worked great, I received it super quick and still have my homemade almond milk in the fridge and re-strained it using this bag and it caught tons of sediment. Now my almond milk is smooth. The bag washed easily as well. No plans to buy almond milk again.

I like the design and feel of the bag; however, the mesh is too large and the pulp permeates the bag too easily when making nut milk. It is misleadingly named as "more than a nut milk bag" and should be called "not really" a nut milk bag.

I love homemade nutmilks but am not a fan of the messy cleanup after straining into some of the various nutmilk bag products available. Usually it's a big uck. This bag is so well designed for easy use, durability, and makes cleanup a blink. Like the name says, it's also terrific for more than nutmilk -- I've used it for jelly making for summer fruits and for making soup broths. Fits perfectly over a Cambro container for straining. Informative brochure enclosed is helpful when gifting to friends new to nutmilk making. Thanks for a great product!

I must say this is much faster, easier to use and provides for a quicker cleanup than my other method - which is using an old (clean) cotton t-shirt. I still prefer the way that almond milk turns out when strained through something that is more tightly woven - which captures all of the fiber.

I just received this new nut milk bag a couple days ago, and was eager to give it a try. While it works good, it leaves the nut milk a bit too gritty for my taste.

I'm making my almond milk in a Blendtec blender. Maybe I'm just running it too long, and grinding up the almonds too fine. I'll play around with the length of time, and blender speed settings...maybe I'll be able to make a nice smooth (not gritty) almond milk using this bag after all. I'll report back after a few tests.

For $10 I expected better quality. I also found the mesh to not be tight enough, and I had a lot of grit in my almond milk. I would not reccommend this product.
