We were doing a presentation of "Women in Mining" several years ago. This was an excellent source for information about remarkable women in Idaho. The stories were taken from the history of Idaho which is pretty unusual. It is well-documented for your further research. You will want to more about these unique women once you learn who they are!

5.0 out of 5 stars My Great-Grandmother is one of these women!, April 5, 2009
This review is from: More than Petticoats: Remarkable Idaho Women (Paperback)
I cannot wait to read about my great-grandmother, Dr. Minnie F. Howard, who is written about in this book! I've heard and read stories about my paternal great-grandma, but to actually read it from an author's historical viewpoint is an honor indeed. I never knew that she was so important to Idaho's history. I knew that she and my great-grandfather were physicians in the state, but not that they helped with the re-creation of Fort Hall. This is a book I will pass on to my children's children. Thanks, Amazon, for having this book available!
