Book Description

Haynes Great Cars November 1, 2009
The fabulous Morgan Plus 8 was introduced in 1968 and continued to be produced at Morgan’s factory in Malvern for 36 years. Assembled by hand using traditional methods, the Plus 8 had a uniquely nostalgic flavor and was, in many ways, the last of the traditional ‘hairy-chested’ British sports cars, combining old-fashioned styling with prodigious power. This beautifully produced book, chronicling the complete story of the Plus 8, will appeal to all sports car fans as well as to Morgan owners and enthusiasts.

1.0 out of 5 stars Inaccurate, August 25, 2011
This review is from: Morgan Plus 8 (Haynes Great Cars) (Hardcover)
Accuracy is not this books forte. The writer is not a Morgan enthusiast or specialist, simply a reporter making some money part time as he has done before with other marques. It was apparently written to cash in on the Morgan 100 year anniversary and the Morgan company obviously exacted the inclusion of advertising copy, disguised as Plus 8 history, as its price for cooperating.

There are a few good paragraphs from a former Company director, Mark Aston, but 40% of this little book (purportedly on the 36 year history of this iconic model) is spent on the (since) defunct modernesque Aero 8 (2002-2011).

This one won't be missed in your Morgan library.

Very informative in most ways---but in some other ways not as good as the book: 4 wheel morgans
for 1936 on---definately worth the money--it told me what I needed to know.

Delivery was great, but the book has a lot to be desired. I guess I bought it just to have in my Morgan library. So, basically, what it does is fill shelf space. Two really good books are:
Morgan Exploration and Morgan Centenary 2009: these are worth the money!
