Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review

An authoritative and comprehensive financial analysis of the major players in the Internet market written by members of the Wall Street firm that managed the now legendary IPO of Netscape. Full analyses of the stocks, the technologies, and the various markets associated with the Internet market. Begins with an investor-oriented "essentials of the Internet." This report is an essential investment for anyone investing in the Internet and fascinating reading about the behind-the-scenes players for anyone who uses the Internet.

From Scientific American

Understanding the true power and potential of the Internet can be a daunting task. Rest easy, though. These questions, and more, are answered in Morgan Stanley's The Internet Report.

As Marc Andressen, the cofounder of Netscape, said, "Whether you are an investor, user, creator, or observer, The Internet Report offers critical insight into both the Internet and the markets it will affect." Other industry insiders also praise the book: Steve Case, chairman of America Online, called it a "fabulous history, encyclopedia, reference guide, and road map rolled together for investors in the emerging and merging world of online services and the Web. It'll get as much use from the people in corporate development and strategic planning as it does from portfolio managers and investors." And Benjamin M. Rosen chairman of Compaq Computer, called the report "terrific! Whether you're an Internet investor, user, or supplier, this is the one source you'd be foolish to be without."

This review is from: Morgan Stanley the Internet Report (Paperback)
"The Internet Report" is excellent and will give you the most timely and accurate picture of everything involved with the Internet. As one who teaches Internet classes, I can tell you that this book is just full of great facts about Internet history, Internet infrastructure, Internet technologies, and where various Internet-related businesses will succeed (and fail). If you only buy one technology book in the next six months, it HAS to be this book! It is essential to read this book because your competitors and your customers will read it
