Charming!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Morgan Mine (Serendipity Books) (School & Library Binding)
Perfect for children who tend to throw temper tantrums, as a young girl throws a fit when a unicorn beats her at her own game. The illustrations are unavoidably beautiful, and the association with the unicorn may help children become more receptive to the message. I also recommend Morgan and Yew, Morgan Morning, Misty Morgan, Morgan and Me, and The Gigglesnitcher.

I Love Serendipity Books!,

The books from the Serendipity series are a literary treasure to behold! I have enjoyed the titles including Morgan and Leo the Lop since I was a child. Morgan Mine teaches a moral about being calm and patient. My children love these books too!

Changed for the Worse,

I used to LOVE this book as a child. Now that I am grown, I ordered it for my own daughters. However, I absolutly KNOW that the book has been changed. There are parts in there that are different from what I read growing up. I think the story is worse now than it was before and that makes me sad.

I bought my first Stephen Cosgrove book in the 80s for my Daughters. They loved them so much I had to buy all that I could find thru the years. Now that I have a Grandchild I look forward to reading them to him. Each book teaches a life lesson that children can understand.

Stephen Cosgrove's books made a huge impact on me as a child and I was thrilled to find that they were still in print. Robin James' illustrations are just plain adorable and appeal to children and adults alike. I love that the books come in an affordable paperback form and each has a clear moral lesson. This particular books tells story of an impulsive little princess who must learn patience and concern for others to win the affection of an intelligent and discerning unicorn. The message is: To have a friend, you must be a friend. If you haven't been exposed to the books of Stephen Cosgrove I can't recommend them enough!
