5.0 out of 5 stars A funny holiday book
The Morgue The Merrier has four funny and sexy stories by three wonderful romance authors.

Dead Certain by Rosemary Laurey has Annette James, who hasn't been back in Christmastown in ten years. Some how at the Sleigh Bell Inn she ends up sharing a room with old love Jake Warren. Jake sees this as a sign to get Annette back in his life.

I thought this was a cute quickie read. It was perfect while waiting for some additional books to arrive that were part of a series. I would read these stories again.

Karen Kelly's Blue Suede Christmas has songwriter team Sydney and Tony staying at the Sleigh Bell Inn. Sydney can't work anymore with Tony since her feelings have moved beyond friendship. But Tony is afraid to lose their friendship if they go for something more.

Holly In His Heart by Dianne Castell has Christmastown Mayor Holly Green reconnecting with old love Case McGill. Can these two overcome past feeling to find love again?

Karen Kelly's Thank You Santa has Charlaine entertaining travel writer Nathan Windstrom. Neither was planning to fall in love over the holidays. Can their different lives mesh to hold onto a love that they have found?

The Morgue The Merrier is a funny, a bit spooky, hot and spicy anthology. Each story has a ghost or two helping the couples find their way to love. It's a great feel good book, perfect for the holidays.

I love Christmas-themed books, and The Morgue The Merrier is great fun! It offers a very unique twist on Holiday stories, with its resident matchmaking ghosts and its hilarious Christmastown setting. 4.0 out of 5 stars Two Holidays in One!, October 8, 2007
This review is from: The Morgue the Merrier (Paperback)
THE MORGUE THE MERRIER brings together the themes of Christmas and the paranormal in a merry mix of romantic adventures. A small town in Virginia reinvents itself as Christmastown, where they celebrate Christmas 365 days a year. Everybody participates, hoping to breath new life into their economy. When a blizzard traps both tourists and critics alike in town for a few days, both residents and ghosts get busy making matches. Six star-crossed lovers are featured in three stories:
Rosemary Laurey bring us Annette and Jake, lovers separated by misunderstanding, who find each other again as they work together to help the ghosts of Annette's parents move on. Never say you can't go home again!
Karen Kelley creates Sydney, in love with her songwriting partner, who refuses to take the chance that their friendship can survive love. It takes a ghostly Elvis impersonater to show them otherwise.
Diane Castell brings us Holly, mayor of Christmastown, dedicated to its success. She once had passion with her husband, Case, until his desire to escape town drove them apart. Now a determined ghost will bring them back together for good, so they can help her rest next to the love of her life.
Finally Karen Kelley gives us a bonus story, bringing together Charlaine, a local hotel manager and Nathan, a travel reviewer.
This is a light-hearted collection of tales around the themes of Christmas and the paranormal. No sob stories here, its pure fun, along with some pretty heated love scenes. Main characters, ghosts and town residents are likeable and contribute flavor and attitude to the story, especially Savannah Sue and Annette's parents! A definite buy for an afternoon of fun, light reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Make your reservations now, September 24, 2007
This review is from: The Morgue the Merrier (Paperback)
It's Christmas time in Christmastown and there is lots of holiday cheer and ghostly help and humor at the Sleigh Bells Inn.

In Rosemary Laurey's DEAD CERTAIN, high school flames Annette and Jake are reunited with some otherworldly help.

The ghost of an Elvis impersonator - El for short, who has been helping unite lovers for the last twenty years, is busy helping Sydney make Tony realize that they can make more than music together in BLUE SUEDE CHRISTMAS by Karen Kelley. Ms. Kelley doubles your pleasure with her bonus story, THANK YOU, SANTA! with Charlaine, the inn owners daughter and hotel critic, Nathan.

The mayor of Christmas town, Holly Green is re-united, with a little ghostly help, with her ex-fiancé, Case, in Diane Castell's HOLLY IN HIS HEART.

Four sexy, fun-filled holiday tales, from three of my favorite romance authors make this Christmas anthology a "keeper".

You'll want to book your reservations at this morgue-turned-hotel with it's Twelve Days of Christmas themed rooms.

The book was a super read. Set in Christmastown, Va, where it is Christmas all year round. The Sleigh Bells Inn is the setting for all the stories. There rooms are themed on the 12 Days of Christmas and some of them are in the old Morgue.
Annette and Jake meet up after a bitter high school split, and boy do the sparks fly.
Two best bud's Tony and Sydney, step up the relationship with the help of El, who is an Elvis impersonator ghost.
Mayor Holly and flyboy Case's relationship gets a little help from the ghost Sweet Savannah Sue.
Charlaine gets to deal with Nathan the hotel reviewer, and their relationship blooms with the help of El.
All the stories end on a happy note, because Christmas is really the season for love.
