5.0 out of 5 stars Morley A/B Switch
I bought this switch for live performances. I use two acoustic guitars with different tunings and this switch enables me to channel them through the same pedal array. It works perfectly and is very durable. There is no 'pop' when switching and the switch itself does not induce any noise. I am very satisfied with this product.

I don't hear any noticeable affects on the sound. It's battery powered, but the battery is only needed to power the LED lights - so one 9v battery can last well over a year. It does have a problem with making an electronic pop sound when you switch from one channel to another. In some situations, the pop is barely audible. In others, it's cringe-inducingly loud. It does have a problem with making an electronic pop sound when you switch from one channel to another. In some situations, the pop is barely audible. In others, it's cringe-inducingly loud. It seems to be based on the electrical situation of the room you're playing in.

I have used a Morley ABY switch to route 2 guitars to 1 amp for about 20 years. For that application they are hard to beat. Quiet, transparent, built to last, and reasonably priced. I just got one for my wife (bass player) to switch between 2 basses (alternate tuning) and she has been quite pleased with it. For our use only one button (A or B) gets used. Stepping on the wrong button (A and B) may cause feedback, but you learn quickly which button to use. I have never used the Morley ABY switch to switch one guitar between 2 amps so I can't speak to that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Morley ABY Selector/Combiner, October 29, 2011

I have purchased the Morley ABY selector/combiner switch via Amazon.com .

First, I would like to thank Amazon.com for a doing great job. I have received all my orders(Us to HK) after few days of purchase using the express shipping. My orders arrived without a scratch.

About the Morley ABY selector. It's an awesome product and it works very well. It's made of metal plate and I do think that it can take a beating. However, my only cons comment about this 2-way switch is that it requires taking the whole bottom cover out just to access the battery compartment; that's taking 4 screws out. You wouldn't want to run out of battery while having a gig. And what's suprsing is that you it doesn't have a 9V DC jack. I really dont like the hassle of changing batteries so I modified my Morley switcher. I just took off the foam inside that holds the 9V battery and drilled a hole for the 9V DC jack. For this model, it is best place to install DC jack is at the bottom(side/wall)between the stomp switches. Now, my Morley is powered by 9V DC that powers my other stompboxes.

Very good product. But a little modification is highly recomended if you dont like the hassle of changing batteries.

I still give 5 stars for Amazon and Morley.

Thanks.

Vincent

This is a great functional, durable footswitch that is often needed in live perfomance situations. It doesn't color the sound or make any noise whatsoever.
This item was used and came missing 4 screws that hold the casing together
and was a little grimy, but it was a good price and it works so what the hell.
