Only God Can Unscramble Scrambled Eggs,
This review is from: The Morning After (God's Timing Series, Book 2) (Paperback)
This book picks up where "3:57 Timing is Everything" left off. It's been a year since the death of Ms. Essie Mae Richarson and she was most known for her phrase "God's Timing is Everything." She watched and observed her neighbors and would offer Godly advice into their lives. Her prayers brought redemption and solutions to their problems.
Colin and Angel are still married, but, what is the source of the lack of interest in their relationship? Jennifer is overjoyed at the turnaround of her wannabe gangster son Jerrod, but what threatens to send him back down the wrong path? Elaine's husband says he forgives her of her affair, but does he? Each of these characters misses Ms Essie and wishes for one more opportunity to seek her advice. But, now that she's gone will they "run" to God or allow the devil to win? How will they keep from losing what is most important without their anchor (Ms. Essie Mae Richardson)? God's timing is everything and His desire is for us to "run" to Him - pray & wait!!! Enjoy

God's Perfect Timing,
By The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers (RAWSISTAZ.com and BlackBookReviews.net) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Morning After (God's Timing Series, Book 2) (Paperback)
Seventy-seven-year old Ms. Essie Mae Richardson was well respected in the Braxton Parks community. Her prayers for the troubled people in the community lead to their deliverance. But, the morning after her untimely death, the lives she prayed for began to quickly fall apart.
Angel can't get over the guilt and regret she feels for not saying goodbye to the woman she loved like a mother. Her husband, Colins misses the closeness they shared and expresses his frustrations to his assistant, unaware of her ulterior motives. Elaine is baffled as to why her husband has refused to move back into their bedroom, after he forgave her a year ago for her infidelities. She patiently gives him more time, but feels him pulling further away. Her plan to bring him closer may kill her. Ms. Essie Mae's love and prayers reclaimed Jerrod from a life of crime. However, because of her untimely death and the shocking surprise which has come into his life, he may resort back to the streets. A skillfully written and emotionally charged masterpiece, THE MORNING AFTER captivates the reader with its plausible story line. As the story unfolds, the reader will witness the characters letting go of God's unchanging hands, and the trouble they're allowing into their lives. The emotions of the characters were effortlessly conveyed as I could feel their emotional pains, sorrows, and joy. Although, I did not read the prequel, 3:57 A.M. Timing is Everything, I felt THE MORNING AFTER could be read as a stand alone, but to get the full understanding of the characters reading the prequel would be a good idea. God's Delivering Power,
By Renee Allen Mccoy (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Morning After (God's Timing Series, Book 2) (Paperback)
The second installment to Three Fifty-Seven AM of the God's Timing Series, The Morning After unfolds the interesting lives of seven individuals. Entering the worlds of TK, Jennifer, Jerrod, Angel, Colin, Elaine, and Mason anyone could identify with them in one way or another. Whether you've experienced the death of a loved one, infidelity, health concerns, or communication problems this book touches on them all.
(Excerpt from Kendra Norman-Bellamy's site: About the Book) "When Essie Mae Richardson, the pillar of her upscale community, died a year ago, life for the residents who befriended her took a drastic turn...for the worse. The morning before Essie's death, it was business as usual in the Braxton Park subdivision. The morning after her death, every thread that held the friends and neighbors together begins to unravel..." As I read this story, I enjoyed how each chapter flowed into the next so much that it seemed as if it were written by one individual rather than two. The vivid imagery painted a mental picture making it easy to feel the characters' emotions and visualize their body language. I love movies and could easily see this one fleshed out in film putting me in the mind of the notable Women of Brewster's Place. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about God's delivering power no matter what the circumstance...He is indeed able. Rating 3.5

This review is from: The Morning After (God's Timing Series, Book 2) (Paperback)
While Ms. Essie lived, she worked and prayed constantly to solve the problems in the homes of her neighbors and loved ones: listening to their stories, sharing their pain and giving them advice. Now that Ms. Essie has gone on to be reunited with her beloved Ben, the loved ones she left behind are mourning her death, and their relationships with each other are floundering again. In "The Morning After" Kendra Norman-Bellamy and Hank Stewart revived the characters from "3:57AM," Ms. Essie's neighbors and friends. Will Ms. Essie be able to help them gather up the pieces of their lives and put them back together again, this time from the spirit world? Will they remember what she taught them about the importance of family and community, of love and honesty? Read about Ms. Essie's legacy, while enjoying this smooth-as-velvet story told by two gifted authors.
While listening to The Ojays, Kem and Gladys Knight--I read "The Morning After" and loved the way characters from KNB's Green Pastures series came back to readers in this, another story set in Metro Atlanta. Can't wait for the soundtrack!

This review is from: The Morning After (God's Timing Series, Book 2) (Paperback)
This book is the second book in the "Timing Is Everything" series. Praise for Kendra Norman-Bellamy and Hank Stewart! I can honestly say this book does not disappoint. In the first novel, the people of Braxton Park learn that God is the "key" to any and all things. It is in His timing that He makes all things perfect. Often times the most challenging thing for us as mere human beings (especially when we are being tested) is to stay out of His way. Is there anything too hard for God? After all, Only God can "unscramble scrambled eggs". In the first installment of this series readers are introduced to Ms.Essie Mae Richardson, a strong but loving matriarchal figure who finds her way into the lives of 3 women and their families.Forever they are deeply impacted, touched and influenced by her friendly & intuitive ways, tastey lemonade, sharp tongue and mother wisdom. The lessons she teaches guide them out of darkened corners of personal despair and onto paths full of hope and light. The journey, however, is full of twists and turns that keep you riveted until the story's end.
At the start of this new chapter in their lives,(The Morning After) the beloved Ms.Essie has passed on from the cares of this life into the hereafter leaving her friends in a much better place than when she first met them. Their lives have been changed in irreversible ways and bonds have been made that are lasting, or are they? Without their loving mentor's advice and guidance they must all learn to navigate the waters of life(it's ebb and flow) without the spiritual anchor and friend to lean on. Old troubles resurface and new problems befall the 3 families of Braxton Park. What will it take to make them fully understand what is happening to them and why? How have things gone from good to bad to a "hot mess" in such a short time? I encourage you to find out for yourself! If you love good fiction and well developed and multi-layered characters no matter the genre' then you can't go wrong in selecting this book. I really hate to give storylines away when the synopsis does a wonderful job of summizing the book. Suffice to say:that 'The Morning After' is masterfully written, draws you in... AGAIN and keeps you hanging on until the very last page has been turned. Even then you won't want to let go. A fast paced read most certainly...with equal doses of drama, intrigue and enough human emotion tied in to keep you smiling, laughing out loud and shedding tears. Creatively these two authors have weaved yet another tale that makes you feel akin to the characters Jennifer,TK and Jerrod. Colin,Angel,Elaine and Mason. This follow-up Novel as well as(book #1 Three fifty Seven- Timing Is Everything) is Peppered with humor and a huge dose of reality. Loved it. I highly recommend this book, only AFTER you have read it's prequel! ENJOY.

This review is from: The Morning After (God's Timing Series, Book 2) (Paperback)
The morning after is the second part of 3:57, and its good. I wanted more, I wanted to read more, but I was left guessing what could or could not happen. I don't believe the book needs to prolong, but it was such a quick read. These authors have a gift beyond ordinary. I hope to read more of their work in the near future.
