Not as funny,
By

I didn't like this cd as much as some of the previous ones. Its like hes trying to clean up his act a little because of his family. The other Larry the Cable Guy cd's are much funnier than this one.

Very Disappointing,

Was eagerly anticipating something along the lines of his previous CDs, especially the "Right to Bare Arms"--bright, original, lough-out-loud funny--but this effort was very disappointing. Sounded as though it was was hastily put together. Very few laughs. Lackluster. My recommendation is NOT to buy.

Too Much Poop,

Larry just cracks me up sometimes but he is getting way too poopy for my..dare I say, taste.LOL. Anyway, this has some real laughs but as another reviewer pointed out, the earlier stuff was better. By the way Larry, you used the Wal-Mart checker's brow and low prices line in Bare Arms. C'mon guy, you can do better than this. I hope you aren't under a quota from the recording company.

We took the CD with us on vacation recently and really enjoyed it. It was an anniversary gift to my husband.

My grandsons and I really like this CD, but we like all of his DVD'S and CD'S. He just keeps getting better. I like him because he is just down to earth and can make a story out of anything.

Could be Larry's best yet,

I've been a longtime fan of Larry The Cable Guy and this CD could be his best material yet. First off, I can't think of another comedian that comes up with or brings more new material to the stage everytime I see or hear him. Just about every story and joke on this CD is brand new. Sure, the Blue Collar guys are great together; but Larry shines on his own everytime and Morning Constitutions is no exception. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin.

In so many ways Larry the Cable Guy's popularity stems from saying things we wish we had thought of. From observations on babies to relatives and everyday life, his perspective is hilarious. He is not politically correct so prepare to be offended, no matter how conservative you are. His perspective is not uncommon either (Sure, everybody hates rednecks until their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere)because I live in a rural area and we know he is the real thing.

Good but one gripe...,
This review is from: Morning Constitutions (Audio CD)
I am a big fan of Larry the Cable Guy and I thought this cd was great expect for one thing: he recycled about 3 jokes from his old stuff. His last big joke about him doing a 69, was straight from his last cd, even the punchline was the same. Overall, I laughed alot but come on Larry, theres no excuse for using old jokes.

A Lesser Effort,
By
This review is from: Morning Constitutions (Audio CD)
I have long enjoyed "Larry's" lowbrow humor and, indeed, this collection is really no lower than previous efforts, but it was not as enjoyable. As with all of his work, there is a tendency towards bathroom humor and cracks aimed against the rural poor. Some of the cracks hit home but they do not do so this time around with as much fun. The collection is not mean spirited except, perhaps, against himself but it is not all that much fun either.
I will still by new material released by Larry but I hope future efforts are better.

Marriage must be making a difference to Larry the Cable Guy. The humour is still very clever and very funny and remarkably fresh. But it's not as blue as previous CDs. That makes it easier to play in a variety of situations which should increase Larry's fans.
For someone who acts so dumb Larry's humour is exceptionally clever. A good actor as well as a good comedian. |
