Soothing and relaxing,
By Kurt A. Johnson (North-Central Illinois, USA) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) (TOP 100 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Morning Has Broken: Instrumental Hymns on the Hammer Dulcimer (Audio CD)
This soothing and relaxing album contains eleven tracks of Christian music played on the hammer dulcimer, ably backed up with such other instruments as the guitar, piano and banjo. Ten of the tracks contain beautiful old time hymns, such as Shall We Gather At The River, How Great Thou Art, and It Is Well With My Soul, while the eleventh is of that great modern classic - Morning Has Broken.
If you are a fan of smooth and relaxing instrumentals then you will like this album. Indeed, if you like the hammer dulcimer, and that great Appalachian sound, then you will love this album! I for one think that it is great. I highly recommend this album.

Morning Has Broken: Instrumental Hymns on the Hammer Dulcimer
I liked it because I like old time gospel music. I hadn't been familiar with the instrument before I bought the CD though. |
