Memorable, piano-driven, pop-rock goodness, February 21, 2010

I recently stumbled across this band/disc and am glad that I did. It's a crime that mine is the first review of this outstanding album that was released in 2008 (writing in 2010). The Morning Light had all the tools a band needs to be successful and popular. Good lyrics, great melodies, good song construction, memorable hooks, and infectious rhythms. If you like melodic, radio-friendly rock you'll like this album. The song, "Done Writing Love Songs" should still be in heavy radio rotation. Comparisons could be made to several bands. Reliant K, Ben Folds Five, etc. You get the idea. It's a shame the band broke up in 2009 with only this album and an EP released. Grab this album before it's discontinued.
