This isn't powdered milk, but a whey based product and thus a milk substitute. Of the powdered milk products (or substitutes, I put them all in one group) on the market today, this is easily the best I have tried. The old Milkman powdered milk (with a touch of cream) was about as good, maybe a little better.

The milk itself is really good but why pay $25 here when you can get it at Walmart for less than $10 for the same size can?

I am lactose intolerant but I'd like to have milk handy therefore I was quite happy to find this product.

It is not milk powder but substitute. Diluted it tastes just like powder milk that I grew up drinking therefore I don't mind a bit.

It mixes really well with a little or a lot of water with no lumps if you give a good vigorous shake.

Now I can always have a cold pint in my refrigerator whenever I need some milk for baking or eating cereal.

I'm on a low fat diet, but low fat fresh milk tastes yuck. Then I tried this and it tastes better, not to mention it tastes soooo much better than regular powered milk. I don't even buy fresh milk anymore.

i started buying this milk ALTERNATIVE for food storage...to have on hand if we have a disaster and cannot get to the store or the store shelves are emptied like during a hurricane. i was pleasantly surprised at how much it tastes just like milk. i cannot stand powdered milk, but this product is absolutely the closest i've found,to the taste of the real thing. i've stopped buying regular milk. i just mix what i want of morning moos and am good to go. my daughter and her friend recently visited and i served them morning moos without telling them. they were amazed to the point that i sent a can home with them. now i've got them hooked.

this price is ridiculous, however. auguson farms charges more on their site and here than they do at sam's club. you can only buy it online at sam's. here is the link:

[...]

as you can see, you get 6 cans for almost 100.00 less than you would buying it here. shipping is around 10.00 depending on where you live or if you have it shipped to a business address.

i buy it in the large bucket at sam's. i haven't purchased fresh milk since i started using morning moos.

We bought this to take on a camping trip this summer, however Mother Nature had other plans. Some of you may have noticed that this winter has be a smidge chiller than previous years, and because of that we where snowed into our home for four days. That wouldn't have been a problem in and of itself, except on top of feeding myself, my husband and two young children; our friends where snowed in with us. So 3 extra people, one of whom was a bottomless pit of a teenager.

We ran out of milk early on the second day, despite me picking up 2 extra gallons earlier knowing the storm was coming. The teenager has 2 hollow legs, I swear, LOL. I pulled this out of the camping supplies, just planning to use it for cooking, but the teenager started drinking it right away. He didn't even realize it was a powdered milk substitute, so I sampled some myself. I could tell it wasn't real milk, but by golly it's very close in taste. Unlike powdered milk you get at the grocery store, it doesn't have that awful smell or after-taste. When it's chilled for a few hours, it's actually a very tasty beverage and we all enjoyed a glass here or there. Everyone agreed that for a powdered beverage, it was pretty good. When used in cooking or baking, we didn't notice a difference in the finished product from using real milk at all--again unlike powdered milk which you can smell in the food. A teaspoon or two of just the powder also makes an excellent creamer for tea or coffee.

I would give it 5 stars, except its a bit difficult to mix. You either have to start off with hot water, mix thoroughly, then add cold water or put water and the powder in the blender before adding the remaining water needed.
