I've used this feed in various different feeders in my yard to no avail. The birds will not eat this food and I'm not quite sure why. I usually have cardinals, finch, woodpeckers, blue jays, robins, brown doves, crow and sparrows but none will touch this seed. These same birds are happy with the other seed and suets that ive purchased but avoid whatever feeder i move this prioduct to. I've resorted to mixing it with the local grocery store sunflower seed bird food (3 parts grocery store to 1 part morning song) and that is the only way I can use this product. I've had great success with other morning song products so the birds complete avoidance of this particular mix is a mystery.

I ordered this seed a couple months back and it has been pretty popular with the back yard crew. It is a good mix that appeals to a variety of birds (I have seen starlings, gold finches, morning doves, cardinals, and woodpeckers enjoying it at varous times) and I love the 40 pound size delivered to my door without me having to struggle with it through the grocery store. I did pick it up at under $15 which made it $4 cheaper than at the grocery store, plus add the prime member free shipping and it was sold. Glad I got two bags at that price... at nearly $20 more now, I will struggle through the grocery store.

Nothing special,
This review is from: Morning Song Year-Round Wild Bird Food, 20-Pound (Lawn & Patio)
Being a name brand product, I was expecting more from the seed. When I opened the white bag (its not clear), it looked just the same as a "value" seed mix from another major retailer. I'm just glad I got two 20 lb bags on sale and going back to other seed mixes. There are a lot of filler seeds including red milo. The birds that mostly feed in my area on this mix are sparrows. They dig through the mix like crazy and I'm glad the mourning doves are there to clean up the undesired seed. I get an occasional nuthatch and after I add in safflower in another feeder with this mix, the red headed woodpecker feeds from it. The gold finches are glued to the thistle feeder.So-so product if you can get it cheap. Gets the job done but there are better mixes or you can find similar mixes for less. Pretty much paying for the brand name.

They ate it all!,

I can attest that the birds in Southern California love Morningstar year round blend. I filled my Birdscapes 737 Garden Sip & Seed Feeder (about 1 1/2 pounds of seed). The birds sat on it all day every day and the feeder was empty in two days.

The birds that visit our upstairs apartment porch in California like this seed. They devour an entire feeder's worth within 2-days leaving virtually nothing behind.

The bird seem to like it just fine. I noted they seem to be eating it without a problem. I recommend this birdseed.

This was OK bird seed, but not worth the price they charged. You could get this quality of bird seed from any discount box store. The birds are making a mess with it by throwing out the seeds they don't really like (what I call the cheap "filler") and trying to find "good" seeds like sunflower seeds. There's a LOT of waste in this seed for a high price.
