For your money you get 12 songs consisting of nothing but pure flute music, no modern electronic stuff, no new ageish sounds. Three of the songs, #3 Sacred Waters Flow, #5 Okanogan Round Dance, and #9 Shoshone Warm Dance are traditional and perhaps the best, the other 9 were composed by Ms. Edwards herself (only 14 at the time!)Well worth owning, I'll buy the next one she releases and would love to attend one of her performances.

After listening to Miss Edwards playing her songs live, the cd "Morning Star" was purchased. Indeed, her music is peaceful and calming. When listening to Whispering Wind", with my eyes closed, I could hear the aspen leaves gently blowing in the wind as if they were whispering quietly to my soul. It reminded me of those who, were once the guardians of this great land and strived to preserve its beauty and splendor for generations to see. When Hovia plays her flute, the music tells stories of days gone by, preserves moments for today, and whispers hope for our future. It's incredible to see so much come from the mind of a young girl. For those willing to listen, the beautiful melody will be a favored piece in your collections.

Might be liked by a narrow group but it has the haunting sound of soul that appealed to my husband's Native American roots. We also use during yoga and it is perfect.
