A wonderful piece of work by Daniel Lemma. I got turned on to this music while in Sweden, where he is from. Its soulful, with an Otis Redding-esque retro sound. Not a bad song on the album. You'll love it.

I first found this album when I was an ex-patriot living in Sweden; Daniel Lemma's music was used to score parts of a local movie that I saw (Jalla! Jalla!), and I was immediately hooked. The songs were catchy, smooth, easy to listen to, and really made you think. He could easily be one of Sweden's next great exports. If you haven't heard the track, "If I Used to Love You," you're missing out. It's hard to characterize his genre precisely. There's a good bit of Otis Redding in his work, but there's also elements of Bob Marley to be found in the rhythmic undertones of his songs, and of Van Morrison when digging deeper into some of the lyrics in his ballads. There's also a clear jazz influence that infuses some of the more complicated pieces of his work - there's a strong Swedish jazz tradition (Bo Kasper, Monica Zetterlund, and others) and it's clear that he's listened to all of them as he's developed his own unique style. Highly recommended as a great fusion of blues, jazz, and soul with a very modern and unique Swedish twist.
