5.0 out of 5 stars GENIUS!!
This product is pure magic, if I could I would give it 10 stars! You see, I tend to dye my hair a lot, and after a year or so of abusing my hair, it was as damaged as hair can get without falling apart completely. So I went to my trusted hair stylist, who is a true genius when it comes to hair, and she recommended this treatment. The price tag made me flinch, but then my...

3.0 out of 5 stars Eh...It's not exactly fabulous.
I am a hair product junkie and this just didn't quite give me a fix. It's basically Frizz-ease with some added Argan oil. I was expected a higher concentration of the Argan oil, but it's 5th on the list of ingredients - a fair amount, but not for what you are paying. I am a hair product junkie and this just didn't quite give me a fix. It's basically Frizz-ease with some added Argan oil. I was expected a higher concentration of the Argan oil, but it's 5th on the list of ingredients - a fair amount, but not for what you are paying. (the top 5 ingredients of any item are basically what make the product) If something is going to be called 'Moroccan Oil', you'd expect it to be just that, right?

It's very smoothing (hence the silcones at the top of the list of ingredients). Silicones will build on the hair and will eventually have to be stripped with a detoxing shampoo to remove the build-up. I have virgin naturally curly bi-racial hair with a fine texture (think R&B singer Mya). Silicone build-up on curly hair can be the devil so curlies beware. The smell is not too bad. Kind of musky. Just glad that I purchased through Amazon and got a great deal (50% of the normal price).

All in all, it Will suffice for a quick fix for minor frizz, but definitely not a 'treatment'. For that, I highly recommend Eden Allure. They have 100% pure Argan oil available and it doubles as skin care. (not affiliated-just a lover of natural products) Speaking of which, Moroccal oil has color additives (D&C Yellow 11 and Red 17).

The price tag made me flinch, but then my hairstylist gave me a trial run. She showed me how to apply this after towel-drying my hair, a very small amount concentrating on my most damaged areas, and to apply heat with my hair dryer to help absorb it in. The result was such a huge difference. Unlike most other leave in products, this one doesn't leave your hair feeling greasy (like that citrus stuff, yuck) or anything. After using this after every shower, my hair has transformed from something that was such a pain, I put it in a ponytail everyday to avoid having to deal with it, to the softest hair imaginable, that I want to wear down everyday. Seriously, my friends who have seen what I have done to may hair could not believe how soft it was!! If you are looking for a cure for damaged or otherwise distressed hair, I give this my highest recommendation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great, a little goes a long way, June 1, 2008

I got this from my hair salon. My hair is naturally curly but I color it and it gets dry and frizzy. I use a little very very little by just tipping the bottle flat against my palm, rub into one side of towel dried hair and repeat for the other side. Style as usual. I found my hair dries naturally faster and looks shiny and great. He flat ironed my hair at the salon and it worked great that way too. I highly recommend it.

I colored my hair last night and woke up to dull dry hair. I used this as above and I can't get over how healthy and shiny it looks today.

1.0 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE!, February 14, 2010

This review is from: Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment 3.4 Oz Bottle with Blue Box (Health and Beauty)
The seal was broken on this product and it was not the real moroccan oil. I have the real oil and it smelled differently and worked differently. Don't buy! Worst part is that this can't be returned. I am VERY unhappy with the inability to return a false product. I was ripped off!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Moroccan oil, May 22, 2010

I've been using this product for awhile and have bought numerous bottles at salons. When I received this in the mail, the seal was not intact and despite looking like the actual oil, it smelled horrible and I had to wash my hands a few times to get rid of the cologne-like stench.

5.0 out of 5 stars Give that thirsty hair a drink from a true oasis, June 21, 2008

This product came highly reccommended to me by a friend now barely trims her ends since she started using MorocconOil. I have very curly hair that dries out and breaks very easily because I have to wet it every day to make my curls look fresh. I have searched high and low for products that will work with my curly hair - and I have always been disappointed after I spend the money and achieve no results. But ever since MorocconOil has come into my life, my hair has been transformed into shiny healthy hair. I don't ever plan to stop using this product. Just a little bit in damp hair is all I need. My hair is softer, shinier and even my curls are more defined - no residue or greasy feel. Let me also add that this stuff smells GREAT! I really wish I'd known about it earlier. I highly reccommend it since it is truly worth the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST PRODUCT EVER!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!, September 19, 2008
I just bought this product a week ago after seeing amazing reviews about it on the local news. My hair is naturally coarse, with split ends. Over the years, I have spent a lot of money and used many different styling products to try and achieve shine, softness and natural movement. (These products eventually added so much build-up in my hair, leaving it heavy and with little movement). I have been using MOROCCANOIL for a week now, and oh my gosh from the first use, my hair was shiny, silky, and full of movement!!! As the week went on, my hair got even better - even the split ends don't stand out, because the tips of my hair are soft and shiny, and flow with my hair since i started using this product!!!
I wash and towel-dry my hair, put a DIME SIZED amount of morrocan oil in my palm and rub it into my hair and scalp, then use my hot air brush. My hair is so healthy and soft throughout the day, it feels SO nice to put my hands through it! Best of all, it's NOT oily, and there is NO BUILDUP!!!
If your hair is not washed, then wet it with water, put a dime-sized amount of moroccanoil in it, blow-dry and style or use your straightening iron or hot air brush and style, you will be amazed!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, July 1, 2008

If you've got thick, dry hair, this is for you. A small amount goes a long way. Although it's oil, it doesn't feel oily. Beautiful scent and it softens hair without weighing it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light and Shiny - Even for Baby Fine Hair + No STATIC, February 19, 2009

This review is from: Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment 3.4 Oz Bottle with Blue Box (Health and Beauty)
I have long hair (almost waist length)that is foil wrapped (highlighted) every 6 weeks and my hair texture is baby fine but lots of it so blow drying without frying it can be a challenge. I've used other "tamer" type products in the past but they seem geared only towards those with naturally curly, coarse type hair or something and weigh my baby locks down. This product gives me shine without weight and the very best thing, especially in winter, is that I'm not left with TONS of static cling in my hair after blow drying. It also seems to protect my hair from the heat of the blow dryer.

This has worked for me even in the most humid weather. Another good thing is this product is so light that after using, I can curl my normally straight hair and it WILL curl and the curls last just as if I didn't use the product and I cannot say that about any other "tamer" type product I've ever used.

The only downside to this product is that it is somewhat expensive but I've found that even though I do have lots of hair, a little less than a dime sized amount is plenty to get the results I want so the bottle does last a long time for me. Just pour a small amount in your hand, rub your palms together and apply to your hair. I do my ends first and work my way up to the crown, then blow dry as normal.

1.0 out of 5 stars It Was Fake, December 17, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment 3.4 Oz Bottle with Blue Box (Health and Beauty)
When I received the Moroccanoil, half of it spilled in the box. When I smelled it- it smelled like cheap perfumed oil- not like real Moroccanoil. I have ordered it several times before and I know what the real Moroccanoil smells like and this was not it. Obviously, if the cap was loose in the first place somebody was messing with the product. The bottle should've been sealed. Amazon did refund me for the product though so that was nice.
