5.0 out of 5 stars Most effective mask I've EVER used! September 20, 2009
By Ana K.
I have always loved using hair masks --they make me and my hair feel pampered. However, more often than not, the extra soft results you're supposed to get are unfortunately short-lived. Well, that's not worth spending the extra money and time to condition your hair. Well, NOT the case with this product. On the surface the mask is ultra creamy and smells great so that alone makes using it a wonderful experience but, leave this baby on for 5-10 minutes and the result is super shiny, soft and manageable hair -that lasts all the way until your next shampoo which could be a couple of days away. If you have time, try to towel-dry your hair before applying it. Believe me, I have tried many, many masks and this one, I can truly say, is worth every penny.

5.0 out of 5 stars sooo moisturizing! November 18, 2010
By drcutie
I have coarse, unrelaxed, Afr Am hair. My dermatologist recommended this b/c my hair gets so brittle and does not respond to most products. This stuff is very moisturizing and helps better than just about any other product I've used. The smell is a bit odd but it doesnt hang around for long and it is a small sacrifice to pay for such a moisturizing product. Additionally, I get brazilian keratin treatments and this works well along w/it b/c it does not have sulfates or salt.

I have extremely dry (due to thyroid condition), frizz-prone, super-curly hair. I use intensive conditioners, always. My local beauty shop owner recommended this a few months ago, and I was put off by the price.

A couple weeks ago, though, I smelled it, was enraptured by the scent (think of a seductive harem or sacred anointing oil, cause it has that frankincensey-myrrhy sort of smell that reminds me of both, funnily enough). I bought it. I tried it. I'm sold! It's not just hype. This mask really hydrates my superdry hair and leaves it silky, manageable, supersoft, and easier to style.

And, oh, the scent. I'm gonna get the shampoo and regular conditioner. Today I bought the oil, but I haven't used it yet.

Good stuff, and this seller has a good price. Less than the 50 bucks at my local area beauty stores for this very large jar (2 cups + worth of mask creme.)

Note: This seller has the larger jar (double this size) for a much better price per ounce than this.

I had a hairstylist fry my hair and I freaked! I used this product every other day. I let it stay in my hair for a couple of hours, if i was going to stay in around the house. It did the job! It made my hair softer and healthier!

5.0 out of 5 stars Miracle in a jar! April 17, 2009
I have processed (blond), overworked hair and have been using this now a couple of weeks and it makes a wonderful difference! My hair is healthy, shiny and the split ends are not as noticable. I did have to use more than recommended however, I have long layered hair, so i think thats the difference. If your hair is dry, or processed, you have to try this stuff!

3.0 out of 5 stars Go with the Moroccanoil Conditioner instead March 22, 2010
The Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask is not the best idea for thin or fine hair. My boyfriend bought me this because I rave over the oil, but I have not been able to use it very often because my hair is fine and curly and thin, and it just weighs my hair down and makes it look flat and lifeless. I use like 3/4 of a teaspoon and apply it mostly to the drier, more damaged parts (back of the head where I sleep, split ends, bangs) and it is still really greasy and heavy. Probably good for very thick dry hair, but not for anyone with fine hair. If your hair is like mine, I would stick with the Moroccanoil Conditioner instead. It is much lighter, smells amazing, is less expensive, and you can use it daily.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad/ not good
It's not a total bomb because it does condition somewhat and smell nice, but for the price point simply not worth it. Any other deep conditioner could do the job for a lot less.
