I bought two Moroccanoil oil here at amazon reseller Above All Beauty and receved a light version. Different from the picture and also different from the product description.
Also, the package is very very weird... in both packages the code in the front has been cropped, and the one in the back has been shorn!!!!
I used to trust amazon, and never had any problems before but it is very weird to receive two products different from what you bought, and also looking like a fake one...
I really do not recomend it and I'll never buy anything specially from Above All Beauty!
Very very sad...

I bought the Organix Brand first at my local Drug Mart. It transformed by dry brittle curly hair, into silky soft curls. Well I thought if this did such a fantastic job, the Moroccan brand must do even better. No so. Organix is a lighter oil, penetrates better and doesnt make your hair feel heavy. I tried Morrocan brand for a couple of weeks and kept finding myself going back to Organix. The ingrediants in both products are the same just in different quantities. Keep your money and buy Organix for 1/3 less money that the Moroccan brand.

List of ingredients in each product in the order they are listed.
Organix: Cyclopentasiloxane,Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, c12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Butylphenyl methylpropional, Argania Spinoza (Argan) Oil, Linum Uslitatissimum (Linseed) Extract, Parfum, Yellow 11, Red 17
Moroccanoil: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil,Parfum (fragrance,Linum Uslitatissimum (Linseed) Extract, Butylphenyl methylpropional, Benzyl Benxoate, Alphalsomethyl, Red 17, Yellow 11.

There's a reason Argan oil has been used forever: it's great for giving you shiny hair, healing split ends, and getting frizz under control. It also bears a significant effect on hair health from the high levels of Oleic Acid, Linoleic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Vitamin E, and numerous other natural antioxidants and fatty acids. My hair gets pretty dry, even when I don't chemically treat it, so this comes in quite handy. That said, it doesn't exactly make my hair soft or smooth, and if it sits for too long it can get a funky odor. I've used this against Cashmere Falls Heavenly Hydration, which is a Moroccan Argan oil base, but with a few additional ingredients that make my hair incredibly soft and smooth after just one use, plus it has no odor and is surprisingly lightweight. So, this brand is good if raw oil is what you prefer, but the Cashmere Falls brand works better if you want the same shine and long-term hair health, plus the added softness and smoothness that this falls a bit short of.

I have fairly long, thick, wavy hair that I color. If left to its own devices, it's dry and frizzy. Like another reviewer, I had good results using Sweet Almond Oil - used in a 1-to-4 ratio with a leave-in conditioner as carrier - but when my stylist raved about this stuff, I figured I'd give it a try. I need a considerable amount of the Moroccan Oil to yield similar results, at a vastly higher cost. Even if you're sold on the Moroccan Oil, it's essentially Argan Oil, also available here on Amazon for less money (and from online merchants who specialize in botanicals for even less). I've also recently starting using Tamanu Oil with the leave-in conditioner as a carrier and have had excellent results. Plus, in addition to being so great for my hair, the Tamanu Oil can be used for a variety of skin issues. The Tamanu doesn't smell as nice (in my opinion - it's nutty), but I mix up 1-2 oz. batches at a time and add a few drops of patchouli essential oil to the mix which definitely helps. Bottom line... you can get fantastic results from much cheaper alternatives.

My hair stylist introduced me to Moroccan Oil. At first I was uncertain because I have very fine, mostly straight hair, and cannot use most conditioning products without my hair laying flat against my scalp. But she cautioned me to use a very, very small amount of the Moroccan Oil, rub it between my hands and run my fingers through my hair, being sure to get the oil on the ends. It is wonderful! Takes out all the tangles, leaves my hair looking healthy and shiny, and seems to actually help it to have more body. If you have fine hair, be sure to only use a small amount of the oil. You can always use a little more if needed.

This is totally a knockoff oil which is really disappointing. The bottle even looks different when you get it and it has a different language on it. I have been using this oil from salons for years and love the oil itself but this is not the real stuff!!

Nothing has worked better on my hair. I love this product! I have fine, curly hair and it makes it look great straight or curly. But I bought it to use to straighten my hair.

I have curly, thick naturally strawberry blond hair. For Halloween, a friend promised me the hair color she was putting on our hair for our costumes was "temporary, would wash out" She LIED and after 3 hair treatments to fix my hair so it didn't look like I Love Lucy, my hair is VERY dry and dull. I picked up a bottle of this at Sally's today on the recommendation of the clerk and I am IN LOVE! It INSTANTLY brought shine back to my hair, made the color richer and my hair feels sooooo good now. I also have two adopted daughters who are biracial and tried it on their hair, again BEAUTIFUL! They both have kinky/thick hair but one also has sun/wind damage from the beach. Her hair looks beautiful. I love the scent of this product as well. I don't know if it's meant for skin use, but I had a bit left on my hands and rubbed it in and now my skin feels like silk. LOVE IT!
