You can not output files to AVI or MPEG format; also, the flash output files seem defective. You must basically output the morphs to a sequence of images and compile them in a seperate software. It feels like the makers of this product have purposely disabled it to make it extra cumbersome - it lacks many basic features that the average user would want.

The majority of the software features appear to be enabled, but when you try to use them the software tells you that you must buy the professional software version to use that feature.

The summary is this- you're better off buying the professional version IF you really want to use the features. If you are bent on saving the money, you can make due with this version IF you have other supporting software AND you don't mind a longer work flow (more steps, more time) to get what you want.

I'm a website and graphic designer and was looking forward to playing with this software. After installing, I was severely disappointed.

* You can't save the finished product to your computer! It only offers the option to load directly to a website (where you have to give them your username and password!) or to email it to their servers and then they will email it back to you. This is the worst, piece of crap, notion in the history of software. To make it even worse (if that's possible) I allowed it to email me the result and it's now been 4 days and no email from them (and no, it's not in my spam folder, etc.)

* Don't let the pics fool you...it's not as simple to implement as they appear. Morphing is the easiest but still requires a lot of time and patience to work. The other features take many hours before it will do what their sample pics do and, even after hours of working on it, it still didn't look good enough...so be prepared for a huge learning curve and many hours and days working on just one photo.

* I'm requesting a refund on this one and will report back if that (at least) went well.

I purchased Morpheus Photo Morpher by the same company and it's very buggy,every time I tried do load a photo in this software it shut off, I had to reboot the computer to load the software again. Since I have the installation cd I uninstalled and when I tried to install again it asked me for an activation code which I don't have anymore.I contacted to Morpheus customer support and explained what happened and I also sent them a prove of purchase but Morpheus refused it. There are also bad reviews about this business that I read online.

This program needs the internet in order to activated. When I contact SmithMicro, Aaron Duryee, their employee stated:

"I do appologize, but if you look at our website (http://my.smithmicro.com/win/photoanimation/index.html), right in the requirements tab for this software it states:
* Windows 2000 or XP
* 500 MHz or faster
* 64 MB of RAM
* Direct X 8.1 or newer
* Windows Media Player 9 or better
* Live Internet connection required during installation to complete activation. <------- PLEASE NOTE THIS LINE

Due to these requirements, you will not be able to complete the activation of this product until you have an internet connection. If you will not be getting a connection at home for a while, I would suggest finding someone you know who has an internet connection (physical, not wireless) and using that connection to get your software activated until you can get an internet connection at home."

When I told him that I would not get the internet at home just to install a cheap program and that I had purchased another of their programs that cost 10 times this much and I didn't have to go through this hassle he told me:

"Please understand that we did not develop this program, so it is NOT something that we can correct. If you want to contact the developer, Morpheus, you can go to www.morpheussoftware.net"

This company does not stand behind it's programs and it seems that those programs that cost the least make you jump through the most hoops. Does this mean that if you can pay more for some program that you are more trustworthy than someone who buys a cheap program?

I guess that I will turn this over to the ACLU because their attitude and business practices stinks of discrimination.

Since Smithmicro can't stand behind the products that they sell why would anybody trust any of their product.

Don't buy any Smithmicro labeled or mis-labeled product. Buyer beware!

The reason I bought this Morpheus animation product was because I believed from looking at the cover that you could use it to make cartoon versions of a regular photograph of someone. Not even remotely true. On the inside of the cover it shows mixing photos like a baby with an apple. Not even close. That mix is awful and they tell you that you will need the professional version which costs 120 dollars and you can just pay the difference of what you paid for the regular version. Totally deceptive and a complete waste of money.

I purchased this a few years ago on a whim but never used it. I found the disk and decided to install it. It was a bit trying at first, but then I got DIRECTIONS FROM THE HELP AND THE TUTORIAL SECTIONS. You must read the directions carefully but it's worth the time it took to learn it which was about 2 days. I LOVE IT!!! I was able to add some amazing morphs to my movies. I'd be willing to bet those who rated this poorly didn't bother to read the directions!

One may start out with Morpheus Photo Morpher and "graduate" to Morpheus Photo Animation Suite, or spend the few extra bucks and buy the Suite in the first place, as it does even more than Photo Morpher does.

Both are easy to learn, easy to use and a whole lot of fun for adults as well as for children.

I can only add to my comments on Photo Morpher--that program is really great, but this one is even better!
