The opening track, Tradimento Primo is worth the purchase price alone. Great liner notes too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Morricone the Maestro Indeed!, June 26, 2008

This review is from: Morricone Kill / Spaghetti Western Magic (Audio CD)
I grew up with the 1960s Spaghetti Westerns and the music of Ennio Morricone, and this album, (I love the word album) does indeed bring back many of those memories.
From the first note, to the last, this is truly Morricone.
Arena, from il Mercanario (Track 18)...what's not to say? This music, and its simple melody, along with the (B)olero rhythm brought tears to my eyes. God, what a grand piece of music. Bravo!

4.0 out of 5 stars Morricone Kill: Spaghetti Western Magic from the Maestro, March 26, 2009
This review is from: Morricone Kill / Spaghetti Western Magic (Audio CD)
Although the whole album is good there are certain movies Ennio Morricone wrote movie music for that were generally more appreciated. The best music on this particular CD is for "My Name is Nobody", "A Professional Gun", and "Duck You Sucker (A Fistful of Dynamite, Giu LA Testa)". Certainly the songs for "Blood & Guns", "The Hellbenders", and "The Big Gundown" "Let's Go Kill, Comrades" although not as well known are good. You will be hard pressed to find all the music of Morricone you enjoy on just one or two CDs. His diveristy and proliferation throughout his career is well respected.
