this thing is soooo small! I would not pay more then 5$ for it. it is smaller then a girls fist! no joke. its smaller then the horror bank & the kitty bank or any other bank I have seen. I herd the old 70's? version was much bigger. I would suggest the old on if this is true.
It is imposable to get your money out. the part where you put batterys in ischeaply made . no info book.
it works best with small coins. it is still entertaining to see it shake & then snatch you coins fast. would not pay 15$ or rebuy another one of these.

I am SO disappointed. I had one of these when I was a kid and played with it constantly. It got lost over the years, but I was SO excited to see one again I had to get it. So I did. We put the batteries in and got it to take a coin! That was great! Let's do it again. Nothing. Nothing. Still nothing. It makes great grinding sounds, but the hand won't come out of the box. So, I got to relive a moment from my childhood. A moment. Only A moment. Exactly One Moment.

Item as described. Worked the first time. Good conversation piece. Used as a bank for spare change. Can tell the difference between real coins and slugs

This little bank is like one we had in the seventies. It works well and fascinates kids. Good choice for a baby boomer

Got this as a present for a friend who loves the 1960s show "The Prisoner." If you've watched it you may remember they featured one of these banks as a prop that the main character uses to enter a building by submitting a token to it. My friend had no idea they were real and was so surprised!

Remember these as a child, and as a fan of "The Prisoner" had to get one! Nicely made and works exactly as I remember. But I find the hand oftens fails to drop the coin once inside and the lid does not completely close. Tried different coins same result. So a bit disappointing...

I chose this rating because the product is completely defective and does not work. This is the second one that my son received that is not working and highly disappointed with it! The hand barely came out once before it completely quit again!
