5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent textbook
This is the fourth edition of the classic text that appears to be one of the most authoritative and comprehensive on gastrointestinal pathology currently available. The book is written by eight authors who can be regarded as some of the world's most eminent gastrointestinal pathologists.

1.0 out of 5 stars The name of Morson is not sufficient!!!
I bought the book counting on the name of Morson. I have disappointed very much after I bought this book. The pictures are not of sufficient quality and besides the book is not sufficient in text too. I came back the book to amazon.com after one day I bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent textbook, March 3, 2005
This review is from: Morson and Dawson's Gastrointestinal Pathology (Hardcover)
This is the fourth edition of the classic text that appears to be one of the most authoritative and comprehensive on gastrointestinal pathology currently available. The book is written by eight authors who can be regarded as some of the world's most eminent gastrointestinal pathologists.
The overall style of the book remains similar to the previous edition in that conditions affecting the gastrointestinal (GI) system are presented systematically according to anatomical location. The strength of the book lies in the comprehensive nature of the descriptions on the pathogenesis, clinical aspects, macroscopic and microscopic pathology of each disease entity. The information provided
and the references appear to be up to date. The book is most useful for the pathologist who wants to UPDATE his or her knowledge on recent advances on specific conditions, particularly in relation to assessing diagnostic criteria,
description of new disease entities and classification of specific entities. This is NOT an atlas of GI pathology.
In summary, I regard this book as an essential reference on
gastrointestinal pathology and indispensable for both general surgical and specialised gastrointestinal pathologists.
