Well, here it is guys: the WORST Mortal Kombat game of all-time. Yup, the honor goes to the Game Boy version of Mortal Kombat II.
I bought this game when it first came out because I was stupidly riding on the success of the Mortal Kombat series at the time. I was very naive (all my friends were right!) Time hasn't been kind to this game, but who am I kidding? Time wasn't kind to this game the day it came out because it was an absolute piece of plastic trash then, and it's trash now. It will forever remain trash. It's so trashy, the trashman won't even take it. He says it stinks too much, and it's not worth the risk of potentially sniffing the horrible odor *just* to put the game in the back of his truck. Even if he were to wear the thickest pair of gloves in the world, he doesn't want to risk the smell remaining on his skin permanently. So why am I bashing the game so hard? Because you get fewer fighters, fewer levels, HORRIBLE black and white graphics, and the worst part- an extremely slow framerate. The blood doesn't even exist. Okay there's blood, but watching it on a hard-to-see black and white screen, would you even call that blood? No, you wouldn't (and shouldn't). I would rather have a job being a janitor in an elementary school and having to clean up barf on the cafeteria floors every day, than play the Game Boy version of Mortal Kombat II ever again. It's really that bad. At least then, you can swirl the puke around with a mop and have some fun. For the love of God and all his wonderful adorable Earthly creatures- DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! Just when I thought the Mortal Kombat series couldn't get any crappier, it happened.

Ugh. Why the Game Boy?,

This game is horrid! The graphics and the framerate are too choppy! The sound's okay (sound effect wise), but MKII was never known for it's music. The control is absolutely horrid; there aren't enough buttons on the Game Boy and special moves are nearly impossible to pull off (much less FATALITIES, as there's only one per character).
But the worst of it all happens to be the gameplay. Seriously, I beat this game in half an hour! And when did blood ever become an ink error? Not worth the price. I suggest that you should dust off your Super NES and buy that version. Avoid Mortal Kombat II on the Game Boy at all costs. The only thing worse than this is the Game Boy port of Mortal Kombat 3.

This is 1 of the best, if not THE best portable Mortal Kombat game ever! The graphics are great, the gameplay's very fast paced, the music's cool and the controls are very responsive. The fatalities are really cool and there's a stage fatality in a game, which can only happen in the Kombat Tomb level. You can also fight Jade and Smoke as well, but you need to do certian things in order to fight them. There's also a babality, but I haven't figured out on how to do that yet. It's such a huge improvement over MK1 on Game Boy. If you're a MK fan, I highly recommend this game cause it's definately 1 of my favorites.

The pinnacle arrives onto the Game Boy,

Mortal Kombat II was always known as the pinnacle of the long-running series (To think Mortal Kombat 9 is coming). While MK2 dominated arcades and home consoles once again, the question is: Did it do well on Game Boy? It wasn't probably sold as much as the game's console cousins, but the game was great.
You choose your character (out of 8) and fight 10 other fighters, each with their own abilities. This goes for all of the Mortal Kombat games (Not in these specific #s though). The gameplay is pure arcade fighting on the go. The graphics are awesome, and the sounds/music were great. The downside, however, is the fact that there are only a few arenas in this port. Plus, the game could be beaten in about 10 minutes or so. But, is it worth replaying? Yes. It truly is. MK2 is probably the best of the Game Boy Mortal Kombats.

People say this game is bad, but its the best mk game on the gameboy. while it only has 2 levels and 1 fatality per character the gameplay is great. The people move fast and the controls are responsive, which is alot more than i can say for most fighters on the gameboy. while it lacks blood color and may not be as nice as the gamegear version its still not bad.

This is a very good game that is very limited. As far as I know, it is almost impossible to do any really 'neat' Fatalities before the timer runs out and even on difficult, it is not a challenge to beat. Probably the greatest challenge is figuring out how to get to battle Jade every single time. Mind you all, the graphics are ok for the timing it was created it, but still, could have had a bit more...

This games graphics were very choppy. The super moves are very cool, but they almost never worked because the control was incredibly bad. There are many other fighting games better than this.

I heard this game is crap. I have it for NES and its cool. But this is weird. Why would they make a stupid 'easy' game for GBA? Why won't they let you play as the cool people like Baraka? You stubborn retards can make a better choice of system and game then this!!!!!!!
