Best version of MK 2,

This review is from: Mortal Kombat II (Video Game)
Mortal Kombat 2 is the game that used the idea of the first game and made it better, added more fatalities, improved graphics, and more blood. This game was so fun to play in the arcades when arcades were popular. This game is a lot better than the Sega Genesis version that I also own,the fighters are bigger, graphics are closest to the arcade than other ports of the game. The sound is way better than other versions of the game because its on a disc rather than on a cartridge, but some of the sounds are not present, like Scorpion doesn't always say "get over here" only sometimes, but not that big of a deal.Pros: fighters are bigger, better sound, saturn controller is perfect for this game, closest version that looks close to the arcade, fighting is simple and easy to learn, lots of fatalities, and intense fights keeps things interesting. Cons: A.I. has cheap fight tactics, hard to do fatalities, could of been arcade perfect

Mortal Kombat 2 is the best in the series,(before MK 2011), The game play was better, the graphics were better, the sound was better. This version is better than the Sega Genesis version and the Super Nes version, but the area where it lacks compared to the arcade port is the loading time and the sound. The loading time is kinda long but not too bad, the sound misses a lot of the nostalgic classics compared to the arcade. Scorpion's "GET OVER HERE!!" is only present every-so-often and the fatality music is not present, and the rest is not the same as the original. The music for each stage is more along the lines of a MIDI version rather than the actual tracks themselves. If you want a better classic experience, your better off purchasing "Midway Arcade Treasures 2" for Playstation 2 or X-box or purchasing online the "Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection" on the X-box360 or Playstation Network. Those are "arcade perfect".
