This is the best version of the popular arcade game to ever grace a video game console! Mortal Kombat 3 is perfect on the Playstation. It's exactly like the arcade hit, with the same moves, stages, combos, music, sound fx, characters, and intense brutality. Mortal Kombat Trilogy for Playstation was also a great game, however it did lack in originality. But MK3 does not lack in originality. It is perfect. Infact, since Mortal Kombat was so extremely popular, MK3 put Playstation on the map for good. The arcade story mode is here, and all of the blood, fatalities, animalities, babalities, and friendships are here. The nail-biting stage fatalities are also here, including the gruesome Pit III fatality!!! The game also has a couple of secret cheat menus which allow you to do all sorts of cool stuff. I highly recommend this game to diehard fans.

I've always been a fan of the first three mortal kombat games and been playing since 1992.Here I am 35 years old and still love the games.It's hard to believe I have been playing these games almost twenty years and never quit.This is something I must say I truly love to do.

Simply put, I purchased this game upon release for the original PlayStation in October 1995. I still have the game, and still play it on occasion. If that's not a solid "thumbs up", I don't know what is.

Fair warning, if you have a decent-size HDTV, this game is going to look terrible on it, because the resolution was meant for 1995 tv's. That aside, the game is still as fun as it was the day it arrived in arcades.

simply put this is the best version of the MK3 series available. MK trilogy was glitchy, and xbox live's Ultimate MK3 plays with bad frame rate.

ps1's mk3 is looks, sounds, and plays identical to the arcade version, if you ignore the very few shortcuts taken in winning pose animations.

THIS IS THE BEST VERSION OF MORTAL KOMBAT 3. THIS VERSION HAS GOOD GRAPHICS AS WELL AS SOME NICE FATALITIES AND NICE LOOKING STAGES, BUT THE SOME OF THE FUN AND SOME OF MY FAVORITES FROM THE FIRST 2 GAMES AREN'T ON THIS ONE. IT WOULD'VE BEEN BETTER IF THE MASKED NINJA SUB-ZERO WAS PUT ON HERE. THIS UNMASKED VERSION AIN'T AS FUN. AND, THE BABALITY IS VERY STUPID AND POINTLESS. BUT, THE PIT FATALITY IS THE MOST GRUESOME PIT FATALITY OF THEM ALL! YOU ENTER IN THE CODE FOR THE FATALITY, AND YOUR CHARACTER UPPERCUTS HIS OPPONENT, BUT INSTEAD OF YOUR OPPONENT JUST FALLING TO THE BRIDGE, HE FALLS OFF THE BRIDGE AND INTO THE PIT AND HIS BODY GETS CUT UP BY A GROUP OF ROLLING SPIKES!!! AN OK GAME TO PLAY IF YOU'RE INTO FIGHTING GAMES. BUT, FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE, PLAY ULTIMATE MORTAL KOMBAT 3 ON THE SEGA SATURN.

Even though I hate the sony playstation system this is probably the best version of MK3 your gonna get. Good graphics,good sound,and same old chracters. This is the version of MK3 you'll want to get.If you would like to know if I have any more reviews look for my logo which is SMK at the top or bottom of my review.OUT!
