Mortal Kombat Trilogy for Sega Saturn,

MK Trilogy is available for the PlayStation One, the Nintendo 64 and the Sega Saturn. By far, the graphics for the Saturn version are far superior to the PS1 and N64 versions, and the loading time is faster than the PS1.
The PS1 version does have a list of glitches, which include game freezes for one-button fatalities. The glitches are even worse if you play the Greatest Hits version. The N64 version has pixelation problems throughout the gameplay and hangs during fatalities. This all explains why the Saturn version is rare and expensive when you do find it. So if you are a hardcore MK fan, it is worth the expense.

If you are a avid fighting game and Mortal Kombat fan, then Mortal Kombat Trilogy is right up your alley. Of all 3 versions of this title, the Saturn version is, by far, the best out. The loading time is shorter, the animation and pixels are smooth, and not to mention that the sound is better. The one thing that stuck out the most about this version was that they took the time to add extra little sounds in the Saturn version. (Play this game and select any of these 4 characters, Kano, Kung Lao, Jax, Raiden you hear the standard name announcement. What alot of people did not realize is that if you selected the "classic" version of Jax or Kung Lao, you heard the "classic" announcement of their name!) That was a nice little addition. There are no known bugs or crashes with this version of the game, so if you were planning on getting the PSone version, save your cash. The nintendo 64 version lacks sound and has a limited roster so it's not a true "Trilogy". It's highly recommended that you purchase the Sega Saturn version, all around it's better.
