I absolutely loved this book, the loosely based followup to "Mortal Temptations", which I also highly recommend.

There are M/M and M/F/M and M/F scenes in this book. Something for everyone, and quite a bit of it. This is one of the more erotic books I've ever read especially with regards to the M/M scenes, how Dimitri tutors Leon who has originally identified himself as straight. But its done so well that you can't help but love them all.

But more than that is the relationship that develops with the 3 main characters and their love for each other. Its a unique situation after all, one's a demigod,. one's a demon and the last is a mortal shape shifter.

If you're looking for great erotic scenes and characters (especially alpha males) this is a must read. I also love how the various gods play a secondary role in the background. All Ellora's Cave fans should definitely read this book.

Val is a vengeance demon, she punishes cheating husbands. That is until Demitri, tiger shifter-demigod, turns her into Aphrodite. Val becomes a celibate servant, taming her demonic ways, matchmaking for Aphrodite. After 3000 years of servitude Val goes to Egypt to make a match. Unbeknownst to Val her demon side has been coming out breaking her celibacy, Valenarian slept with shifter Leon. Demitri is in Egypt as well to watch over Val, when he learns of Valenarians night with Leon he takes her to be punished by Aphrodite. Leon refuses to leave her side and refuses to have her killed. With the Greek Gods out to have Val killed Aphrodite sends her on a path to her potential saving. With Leon and Demitri working together to save Val they are all sent on a path, learning to Love and trust each other.
This is a fun read, there is Egyptian mythology included. The pace is good. Anyone who likes paranormal erotic romances will like this. There is m/m, m/f/m, m/f scenes.

I won't rehash plot details, as they've been covered very well by other reviewers, but the bottom line here is that James has written a very good book.


(I don't think anything that follows is technically a spoiler or anything that hasn't been mentioned in other reviews, but anyone who wants to avoid even a hint of spoilers may not want to read on.)


For fans of romance/erotica, it's got pretty much everything: 2 alpha males (a demigod who can become a tiger, and a Cajun shifter who can become pretty much any animal he wants) who are both super-sexy and very sexual; a woman who has to endure a constant struggle between her demon self (who is also exceedingly sexual) and the aspect of her nature that doesn't want to hurt anyone; gods; archeology; reunited lovers; new lovers; a man who considered himself to be entirely straight yet finds himself drawn to another man; and of course, a plethora of incredibly steamy sex scenes. In that regard, there is something for everyone: Val (the female character) gets together with both guys, both individually and as a group; and Leon (the aforementioned Cajun shifter) explores his sexuality with Demitri (the demigod), who enjoys both genders equally, and has thousands of years worth of sexual expertise under his belt (pardon the pun).

In short, the book is incredibly steamy, and the love between Val and Demitri, Leon and Val, and eventually Demitri and Leon is intense, and given a lot of depth so that the reader isn't left feeling as though anyone's feelings just came out of nowhere or were somehow tacked onto the story. This is a great read for anyone who enjoys menage stories with a paranormal twist.

This story is intriguing, full of complex characters, and it is also very entertaining and full of smoking hot sex scenes. This book is a wonderful mixture of so many wonderful things and I had no problem at all with it holding my interest until the very end. Valenarian and Dimitri's past makes for any interaction between them to be very explosive and potentially dangerous to those around them. This is where Leon comes into the picture. Now if you do not care for sexual relationships between men, you may not want to read this book. While it is not the main relationship and does not take center stage in this book, it is still a very important part of the story. In order to save Val, Dimitri and Leon must teach her to control her inner demon or Aphrodite will be forced to kill her. That's if the other greek gods don't interfere first. This story is fantastic. Danger surrounds them at every turn. There are numerous side stories throughout the book and the support characters are phenomenal. But it seems that not all the gods are willing to let them succeed, or give Val a fighting chance. However, even gods can be trumped by love and good intentions. When the time is over will the three of them have discovered a future filled with passion, or will Leon and Demitri be left alone with Val gone forever?

Ancient beings join up with a modern man to unravel a riddle that will lead to love. Mortal Seductions brings Demitri and Val back together and gives them a jolt of passion with a spicy Cajun touch in Leon. After reading about Demitri I knew that his book would have to be over the top. That proved true as I learned about Val, and then about Leon. The threesome was so unlikely that, of course, they fit together in a tight and passion filled unit. I was amazed at the pettiness of the gods, yet loved how Leon, Demitri, and Val worked to have their future together. I knew that Val had more than fulfilled Aphrodite's goals when she made her last saving gasp for Leon and Demitri. There is nothing like proving that love can always win. Mortal Seductions took a demon, a demigod, and a shifter, gave them a chance at erotic love and proved anything is possible when you want it badly enough.

This book was off the charts. I can not say enough about Allyson James's ability to write paranormal romance novels. She catches you at the very beginning and keep you there throughout the book. Her style of writing makes you long for this kind of romance.

Wow! This book jumps into FIRE! by page 2! A wonderful story mixing magic, seduction and history! I LOVED the combination of characters and the references of both Greek and Egyptian dieties! The sex between Dimitri, Leon and Val was also SUPER HOT!!! A great story that captivates! Well Done Ms. James!

A former vengeance demon, Valerie took an oath of celibacy to serve Aphrodite as a high priestess bringing together couples in love. Her former lover, demigod Demitri the tiger-shapeshifter still loves her as he has for three millennia.

They each meet and are attracted to shapeshifter Leon Dupree, Val's current project. However, unable to resist, Val breaks her vow to Aphrodite by having sex with the hunks; this releases the demon side of her that has been buried since she pledged fealty to the fickle Goddess of Love. Val expects Aphrodite to kill her, but instead the Goddess shows clemency by giving Val a chance to merge her two opposite personas into one person, but must do so in two weeks. Demitri and Leon must assist her; if they refuse or fail, all three will die.

The sequel to MORTAL TEMPTATION is an interesting erotic romantic urban fantasy starring a likable lead trio whose sexcapades include ménage a trois and MM and a strong schizoid premise. However, even with the clock ticking away, neither of the males or the two faces of Val never seem emotionally passionate beyond sex. Still fans will enjoy the latest immortal "Mortal" tale enhanced by a couple of seemingly single forever yuppies.

What can i say, but i'm a huge fan of paranormal romance, especially the shapeshifters kind. It was a pleasure to read this continuing storyline.
