This is an excavation report about the works of the joint Penn / Yale and egyptian SCA mission at South Abydos in the last 10 years.
It sheds a new light on the building program of pharaoh Senwosret III of the 12th Dynasty. Excavations at the site have revealed a great number of new informations that will add more on the literature about this great pharaoh. Recommended to students of the archaeology, architecture and history of the Middle Kingdom in Egypt. I would like to thank Dr. Wegner for his great job.

Good value for money and subject well covered, however when ordering tell Amazon to pack it well if you don't want it damaged. It was only luck that this item wasn't damaged by their stupid packaging dept. This is a typical journal report text and covers the topic very well.
