Mosaic Zoo is a joyous outpouring of masterwork-level mosaics of alphabetically-arranged animals. Mosaic, animals, A-B-Cs -- what's not to love?! After you've been through it a few times just to look at the portraits, which are taken from unusual perspectives, upon further study Keith's mosaics offer a fascinating, clearly photographed variety of laying patterns, textures, and shapes; it's fun to try to figure out why Keith chose a particular tile shape or laying pattern to create whatever effect she wanted on any particular animal. Both kids and adults can find layers and layers of interest and pleasure in this book. I purchased one for my little nephew who loves animals (and mosaics, actually) and he completely adores it. His parents adore it too!
