2.0 out of 5 stars Not Helpful!, October 19, 2004

This review is from: Mosby's 2004 Nursing Drug Cards, 14e (Misc. Supplies)
I bought these thinking that they would be a big time-saver. Yes, they saved me time from looking up meds and then hand-writing them on cards. However, when it came time to be quizzed by my instructor, I found myself fumbling through the information on the card.

The layout of the cards makes it difficult to read when you're trying to answer questions quickly. Also, some of the information on the cards is not as clear and concise (Davis's Drug Guide for Nurses is soooo much better). The verbage "too scientific" and not in simple enough terms so that students can put into their own words the actions, contraindications, etc.

Do yourself a favor and don't get these cards. You'll save yourself from fumbling and it's probably worth writing out your meds just for the sake of learning!

Great drug cards for student nurses. Set is very helpful and format is consistant. Excellent resource and highly portable! Drugs are set in catagories for quick finds and comparisons between drugs. The appendices are useful too as they have information on drug calculations, non-herbal nutritional supplements, an IV compatibility chart and much more. Great set!
