Great for clinical rotations!,

This review is from: Mosby's 2008 Nursing Drug Cards, 18e (Cards)
These cards are great for clinicals. When I have clinical, I take the drug cards I need and slip them in my pocket or in my clipboard. They're a lot handier than a drug book if you know what meds you will be giving. They don't have every medication though... so that's really the only negative part.

I am a nursing student. I bought these cards to help learn the major info about the drugs and to help me pass pharmacology. I was sadly disappointed when I received these cards. This a a big box of paper thin cards with tiny writing. These cards are packed completely full. There is more info on these cards than there is in my pharm text book. They might be ok if that's what you wanted, but I wanted to learn the basics about the drugs, the most important info. But these cards include much, much more. You could never learn all the info on these cards. Another thing that needs to be improved is the filing system of the cards within the box. It could take 15 minutes to find the drug you are looking for. I would not recommend these drug cards to anyone. Kaplan drug cards are far superior and recommended!

I bought this sealed in plastic. No CD, no plastic sleeve as advertised on box. I called evolve to ask them to send me the sleeve and CD, and they wouldn't do anything. They said that I had to go through the seller. Great to know that they stand by there product
:-( Very frustrating!!!!

These cards are useless. I dont even use them. I have a drug book as well and it is way more helpful than these cards. Most of the drugs that I need to look up are not even in the cards at all. I am really sorry that I purchased these.

Handy reference,
This review is from: Mosby's 2008 Nursing Drug Cards, 18e (Cards)
The only thing that would make this better is a table of contents with trade names. You have to know the generic name to be able to look up the drug, which usually means I have to look it up in my reference and then find the card. So, as a supplemental reference that you can easily carry on the clinical floor with you--it's tops. As a reference all on its own, it has a few flaws.

This product is very helpful. The cards are alphabetized and numbered so if you get A-Z card guides to further organize them, all the better for easy finding. What's great is if you only need a few drugs for a nursing class on a certain day, you can just take those cards and not drag a heavy drug book to class that day.

Mosby's quick cards,

I originally ordered this product for my nursing clinicals. We were supposed to have certain drug cards (hand made or other) available for certain drugs common to the floor we were rotating on. It looked good on the web site, but is not entirely user friendly. There are a couple of drugs missing from the box set that were found in my nursing drug book. Caffiene, vitamin E and some other common meds. I am generally satisfied with the product though. Perhaps Lippincot can make a box set just for RN's?
