While the 4,000+ questions are great, there is no feature to choose that questions you've already seen be set aside so you can see new ones. I've spent a week studying with this tool and I really can't stress how frustrating it is to see the same 5 or 10 questions repeated and know there are hundreds more that I may never see.

At last count I've found 10 different questions where the exam says the answer was incorrect but the rationale states that the answer is correct. It's just incredibly sloppy editing that the makers really should have worked out.

I HIGHLY recommend the Mosby's Comprehensive Review... 60th edition. The book is so well written that reading it isn't a chore! The program I was in just loved the hesi exam.. this book got me through it and helped me to score higher than my schools ridiculous expectations!

Some details: The CD that is included is pretty nice, but the questions are VERY easy. I didn't use it to prepare for tests, just it for review! Additionally, another reviewer mentioned some problems with the CD... those seem to have been solved. When you run the program for the first time, it connects to a server someplace and downloads a patch to make everything work well.

I like this book. It is easy on the eyes, great questions, and the CD has great questions. I have only used it for my last semester which included med-surg1 and MAT/OB and it was a great resource. (Plus, I did very well thanks to this book, on HESI and class!...) I have ADD and this helps as it is SUPER structured and flows nicely. This is in my top 3 of must haves for any nursing student. (Plus, it is a new edition and utilizes 3 great book writers that REALLY help.) I would say def worth it. Good Luck!!!

....because of this book! Or more specifically, the CD-ROM that came with it. I didn't even open the book until after I took the test, and found that the book questions were the same as the ones on the CD-ROM.

On the CD-ROM, you can customize your own tests, choose the number of questions, and mix and match topics. There's no waiting around for the rationales, either. They pop up right after you click your answer. I never liked having to take the entire practice test before getting to the explanations.

My recommendation is to do AT LEAST 200 of these questions every day for two weeks. (I always aimed for 500, but usually only got to around 330.) And most importantly, take the time to read those excellent rationales. Read why the right answer is right and why the others are wrong! I know that seems time-consuming, and most other programs make you pay attention to the time you spend on each question, but honestly, you have 6 hours for the real test, and Mosby's questions are so mind-bendingly tricky that you'll find yourself flying through the NCLEX, which is refreshingly straightforward in comparison.

All in all, I'm so glad I used Mosby's instead of the others, and I shake my head each time my friends decide to take an expensive online course--I won't say which, only that it rhymes with "Braplan"--fail the NCLEX, and have to take it again.

I use this book to help me study while in nursing school. My professor recommended it and sometime uses questions on exams. This book is very good for that purpose. I do not write in the book so that I can use it later for a NCLEX review. I would recommend this book for any nursing student.

My clinical instructor recommended this particular prep set. The CD allows you to test yourself and is handy. It seems both thorough and easy to use. I highly endorse this prep book.

After having a horrible NCLEX review book I bought this one and love it. The book has great review of materials and then test you on it at the end of each chapter. I rate this 4.5 stars because some of the answers are wrong here and there, and this is probably true in any book.

I used this book to pass NCLEX and did so on the first try! I like that there is a section of review info for each section of questions.

I'm in Nursing school now and this book is a great review to prepare for my test. I recommend this book to those who like to take a pretest before an Exam.
