Yhis book is an excellent reference for diagnostic tests. It is easy to use. It gives you the FACTS you need to know without have to read through a billion pages. I bought tis book 15 years ago for LPN school and I just bought the 2007 edition for RN school it is a life saver. I have used this book many times through the years for work and school and I recommend it highly.

This is the best book of it's type that I have seen. It is very complete and easy to use. I grab it frequently when nurses or patients need info about tests

I'm an LPN going for my RN and so far this has been an excellent source to use to make up care plans for patients and for other homework, as well as patient care. Would definately recommend.

This book is very easy to understand and find what you need. I had to find information on lab values and the reasons they are abnormal for my nursing care plans and this book helped alot.

I purchased this book looking for a book that had a good overall reference many of the common tests that doctors run for diagonistic purposes. Based on my knowledge of medicine I didnt want something that was overly technical but enough where there was a good balance of explanation and medical terminology. This book is great for those that have a decent level of medical knowledge but it is not so technical where you have needed to go to medical school to understand it. It also is organized into different areas and or can be easily referenced through the index and cross-references. I would recomend this book if you have somewhat of a working level of medical knowledge all the way up to a nursing student etc.

This is definitely an essential book to have if you are in or intending to get in the health profession.

This book is a lifesaver. I work in Pre-Admission testing, and need to review lab tests all the time. The book is clear and easy to use. I like the lists of what high and low values can indicate.

I bought this for the price. My instructor wants the newer version. But I have been using this, so far so good. only thing is the papers are different than the new one.

I'm a nursing student and I don't think this book was detailed enough.This book did not give the type of information I needed for evaluating labs. There were not interventions listed either. Iw ould suggest finding another book.
