4.0 out of 5 stars Great Medical Drug Reference, May 20, 2007

This review is from: Mosby's Medical Drug Reference 2005, 1e (Paperback)
I love this little book. I think the info is quicker to find than the bulky PDR or using Epocrates on the Palm. Meds are listed a-z and there is a trade name and generic listing index int the back. There are nice features regarding side effects, pregnancy Class , It lists pricing- generic/trade and all the various forms pills, creams, ointments, etc. There are other nice features, bottom line is buy this book, spend less time with the PDR. I would like the see more detail on drug specific side effects like % or numbers rather than a list, some more or less common than others.

Additional new info. Mosby ruined this book with the 2006/7 edition and then stopped the annual series. Mosby does have a "nursing" version that is almost identical with similar info, but somewhat noisy and harder to use. The feature of price of drugs is not available now. That was a very good feature that is needed in a book for physicians.
