As an instructor for a nursing assistant class where students are seeking state certification, I am always searching for instructional materials that will enhance the student's learning of basic skills. This set of instructional CD/DVD's is exceptional. The formatt is great for learning beginning skills. I would recommend this teaching tool to anyone who wish to learn these basic skills.

The overall problem with this dvd is that it gives only a general idea of the procedures. California has some stringent rules to follow for licensing and this video doesn't pinpoint those requirements. It is too general if someone is looking for specific information in order to pass the skills test for California licensing. Other than that the quality of the video is very good.

The Mosby's Nursing Assistant Video Skills - Student Version DVD 3.0 is an excellent material to have. It is loaded both with theoretical and clinical information. It is excellent as a refresher course after taken the required course material recommended by your state and/or facility. I would recommend it to any preparing for their clinical exam. Just what was needed - to teach Nursing Assistants - this helped me and them see the items demonstrated, and provided great reminders of what the skills they'll be tested on for the CNA exam. Can be VERY useful as a study guide in preparation for the exam as well!

DVD IS GREAT.I AM MORE OF A HANDS ON PERSON SO READING AND LEARNING FROM BOOKS AND TEACHERS DOESNT GET MY MOTOR RUNNING.I LIKE DOING HANDS ON .I LEARN BETTER AND THE DVD IS PERFECT BECAUSE YOU SEE WHATS TO DO THAN SOMEONE TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO.

Very helpful in teaching new skills to nursing assistant students. Also works as a good review as how things should be done. You may need to verbalize changes that have taken place, or changes in how your facility/organization teaches these skills. Videos are not too long or detailed, so you can insert them into your class time as you teach each skill.
