This review is from: Mosby's Review Questions for NCLEX-RN®, 4e (Paperback)
This book is broken down by subject matter so you can study DOZENS of questions for every unit and subunit you cover along the way. This book pushed me over the hump from B to A. It has more questions than any other book I've seen and the rationales are clear, concise, and easy to understand. The content covers key topics, and questions you are most likely to see not only on the NCLEX, but on nursing exams in school. Buy the book!

This review is from: Mosby's Review Questions for NCLEX-RN®, 4e (Paperback)
I passed the NCLEX the first time around and the only books I used to study from were my nursing book and this book. It is essential for anyone trying to study for the NCLEX. Mosby has questions leading from easy to extremely difficult, grouped into subjects based on the body system or type of nursing (pediatrics, psychiatric etc). Then there are comprehensive tests that include a random sample of questions which is exactly what the NCLEX is.
The reason I like this book is because it parallels the NCLEX. The NCLEX test starts off with easy questions and advances you to harder questions if you answer the first ones right. If you can not get a difficult question then it drops down to easier questions. The more questions that you get right on the more difficult end of the spectrum or if you get a percentage of a mix of questions the the test shuts off and you have passed. With that being said, the test will give out as many questions as it feels in order to get a good perception of your knowledge. Mosby anticipates this by making their questios progressively harder so that you can understand the types of difficulty that the test can dish out. Plus the comprehensive tests are questions that you could find on past NCLEXs. If you understand the question, spot the key words, and really think about your choices, I promise you the NCLEX can become a lot easier. Mosby helped me by giving me all the right questions so I could pass it the first time. In my study group of 7, we all passed! and none of us had straight A's for the semesters. This is a really good guide for any nursing student. |
