The map distinguishes 4 levels of highways and roads, including expressways and pedestrian streets. Icons show railway stations, Metro lines (both subway and surface), ports and wharfs, stadiums, churches (Catholic, Lutheran or Orthodox); synagogues, museums, art galleries, embassies, parking, internet cafes, shopping centers, stadiums, hospitals, and directions of street traffic. The city center map includes unique three-dimensional drawings of the Kremlin, Red Square and other major buildings. There are 61 helpful insets of major road junctions showing direction of travel. Also included is guide to Moscow s Metro.

The map is great! Finally, I can place where hotels, historic sites, etc. are from the Kremlin - and especially place my compass points into a perspective.
It would have been nice to have a bit more detail on where river boats dock, etc. However, the tips are concise and to the point.

This map very helpful, especially with street names and Metro stops written in both Cyrillic and English alphabets. However, be warned that in Moscow, you will only see Cyrillic letters on the streets and in the Metro. While the metro is fast, clean and efficient, you have to follow the colors and count your stops closely if you can't read in Russian.

The map was pretty good for most of our sightseeing, but apparently there were some inaccuracies in location for several places,one being the Pushkin Museum. Also, most of the locations are written in transliteration (western alphabet) but all locations in subway are written in Greek letters and have no relationship or recognition to our alphabet. JW
