Guru Guru - 'Moshi Moshi' (Think Progressive), March 5, 2005
This review is from: Moshi Moshi (Audio CD)
Later day Guru Guru effort that you need to keep in mind this CD is nothing like their earlier albums, such as 'UFO','Don't Call Us...' or 'Kan Guru'.More or less straight ahead rock fusion.I know...some people stop reading the minute they see the word,'fusion',assuming that implies the disc is too jazzy.Best two cuts here would be "Tamil Nadu" and the somewhat spacey-like "Sky Lab".Also,"Don't Worry About The Koto" and the radio-friendly "Jet Lag" showed some promise,at least I thought so.Line-up:Mani Neumeier-drums&vocals,Roland Schaeffer(of Brainstorm)-sax,guitar&vocals,Peter Kuhmstedt-bass and Luigi Archetti-drums.They should've perhaps called this CD,The Mani Neumeier Experience.Overall,a decent rock/fusion title.
