It's a power transformer. It transforms power and it works perfectly with our Defender. You might need one if your dog, like ours, likes to chew cables in the yard.

When we recieved this the mail person said we owed $4.35 more that there wasn't enough postage. I really don't think that was right because it said the shipment was $5.99 and they had already charged us for the shipment.
