Response from author,
By
This review is from: Most of All, Jesus Loves You! (Hardcover)
Andrew, I'm sad that you were disappointed. No author wants to disappoint a reader. I hope it might help to realize that this book is written for toddlers. This does not diminish the greatest truths in the universe, but it does affect the amount and depth of a presentation. I meant to give our very youngest a foundation for their most important reality--beyond any human love they know, the love of Jesus is far greater.
Perhaps my other books may give you an idea of how crucial I do believe it is to center our lives and family deeply and firmly on Jesus. Noel Piper

Building Rituals of Love,

Several evenings in a row, I have snuggled in bed with my youngest, and began reading
"Then every night Mama says, "Good night, and remember. . ." Like any good bedtime book, "Most of All, Jesus loves You" has comforting rhythm and repetition. Noel Piper writes like a mother that has read many bedtime stories through the years. While bold and colorful, Debby Anderson keeps the illustrations in this book peaceful. Small children thrive in an atmosphere of love and routine--I think this book is a great aid in building both of those.

I like that it says your family loves you but God loves you more. And is recommended for ages 2 to 5.

Our Kids Love It,
By
This review is from: Most of All, Jesus Loves You! (Hardcover)
I'm not sure what others were looking for in this book, but I can tell you that we are on our second child with it. The clear tape on many pages shows how much they love looking through it. I can't think of a more important message for my kids than for them to know that Jesus loves them much more than their mommy and daddy do. We do love them very much and we try to show it, but since we are fallen people we still make mistakes. There are times when we disappoint them too. However, Jesus never will.
I would highly recommend this book for very small children. As they get better at sitting still for stories move on to the Big Picture Story Bible. Once they outgrow that you can move to the Jesus Storybook Bible.

All Kids Need To Hear This,
By Mark K. Wickersham "Wick" (Tianjin, China) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Most of All, Jesus Loves You! (Hardcover)
I read Most of All, Jesus Loves You! to my girls tonight. We liked it. It's short and simple, but it reminds my girls that no one can love them like Jesus can. The story starts with a mother tucking her children into bed. A cross and a picture of Jesus with children surrounding Him hangs on the wall. An open Bible is on the bed. Throughout the story the mother tells her children how everyone loves them. The story ends with the mother reminding her children that Jesus loves them most of all. The last page is the picture of Jesus with children surrounding Him that was hanging on the bedroom wall. There are several aspects to this book that I really like...
1. The family is interracial. Although the times are changing, I still do not see interracial families very often in storybooks. We are an interracial family so I think it is great when my girls can see that there are other families like us. 2. The children that are with Jesus are from all around the world and are wearing traditional ethnic clothes. One girl appears to be from China so my girls really like that since they are Chinese. 3. Everyone is always smiling. This is something I need to do more of. Most of All, Jesus Loves You! is a nice book with an all-important message. I can only recommend it.

My toddler LOVES this book!,
By
This review is from: Most of All, Jesus Loves You! (Hardcover)
Since this book was written for toddlers, I think that speaks volumes! It is simple and repetitive and even though she can't read, I catch her flipping through the pages and saying to her self "Mommy loves you" "Daddy loves you".... and I love it when she gets to the end "... and most of all JESUS loves you!" Priceless.
Another bonus to this book that I never thought about until we adopted two children from Ethiopia. The book shows that some of the family members are of a different race... perfect!!

Great, simple book for young children,

We are now reading this well worn book to our third daughter who is about 19 months old. She loves it and "asks" for it in her own special way. This is just a simple book, but is great for bedtime. It's reassuring and sweet to a small child. I believe we could truly say we have read this book more to our girls than any other children's book.

I wanted a clear, easy to read and understand book for a small child who was 3. This book was perfect. Colorful, and very easy to understand. She can read it to herself now and she feels like a "big girl!"
I always get good prices at Amazon!

A Fun Toddler Book with a Solid, Simple Message,
By Shanna A. Gonzalez "eyelevelbooks.com" (Gaithersburg, MD) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Most of All, Jesus Loves You! (Hardcover)
This fun toddler book recounts a simple family ritual in which a parent reminds their young child of all the people in their life who love them, ending with "Most of all, Jesus loves you!" It is well written with pleasant repetition, with a solid message that young children will easily understand. It could make a good complement to Guess How Much I Love You, which expands on a similar theme without taking the final step between parental love and God's love.
Its cheery illustrations are adequate to demonstrate the book's message, but are fairly unimpressive. This could be a classic if it were gorgeously illustrated.
